Pretty sure you can take one off the other.

I just left them together to make it easier on me transporting

my squadron sports by baja designs came in last night. tackled the install this morning when I woke up

    1016172322.jpg

First I started by cutting identical notches on that metal bracket just below the headlights for clearance.

    1017170915.jpg

I then decided to cut off both connectors on my oem fog light harness and the squadron sport fogs and crimp some male / female connectors on them and just wire them straight to each other seeing as I didn't have an adapter. Correct me if i'm wrong but I read somewhere our stock wiring puts out 55 watts? The squdrons only call for 20 watts so I figured they'd be fine just straight wiring them and running the stock 15 amp fuse.

    Before:

    After:

    1017170031.jpg

    1017170032.jpg

I then shrink wrapped each lead individually so that they would not come in contact with each other and to also help a little with the moisture and tucked them up under the bumper with a zip tie. Finished product.

Almost all aftermarket bumper makers use the same mounting holes the hitch uses for the new bumper to ensure its attached in the most secure way.

Looks awesome! But for any electrical connection that is exposed to moisture or the elements, I think a solid sealed solder connection or these marine adhesive butt connectors would be a better option... Your truck, your call though.

-Coming from someone who has had to chase down a lot of marine electronic gremlins!

Is there a rear plate bumper that uses the factory hitch? I know most of the aftermarket hitch bumpers are stronger than the rated hitch, but I tow a 20' travel trailer regularly and if there was ever an issue I wouldn't want that on me.

Think Fab Fours retains the oem hitch

I just put some lighting (albeit emergency, lighting is lighting) on my truck a week or two ago. I went with a small switch box with rocker switches that illuminate when actuated. It was $30 from Amazon, and I used some silicon adhesive to attach velcro straps to the driver's side of the center console trim panels near the foot well.

(Okay, so the 6 switch box is sold out now, but they still sell the 5 and 4-switch boxes. https://www.amazon.com/SpeedTech-Li...d=1508255080&sr=8-6&keywords=speedtech+switch)

Not bad looking, thanks. It also has a tire carrier option, something I didn't think I'd ever get...now, if I can figure out how to relocate the backup camera.

I occasionally think how nice it would be to have 4 full doors but love the bed space and like the look of the AC better than DC. Then I see some shit like this and realize I've had it all wrong. This thing is awesome! Is it wrapped?

Take it out of the handle, extend wires, attach to new bracket, attach bracket to new bumper.

Matte anything has always been one of my favorites. Eventually I'll swirl and scratch this black beyond recognition and want to go matte wrap or paint at some point. Thanks!

Did the differential breather mod this morning. Ran the breather to the top of the inside driver side tail light. I figure if water reaches the upper part of the tail light, Ill have bigger problems than dirty differential oil.

Wow that is definitely a head turner! Did you paint it yourself or have it professionally done? If professionally, what'd it cost ya? :headbang:
