How far off would the speedo be with 285s on stock PreRunner gearing?

Just wanted to chime in a bit -

Chris did an outstanding job with my BAMF shock towers and 12" Kings. He had obviously done a lot of homework and was fully prepped for the install. I'm really happy with the work that was done and the outcome with my truck. As convenient as a 4WD shop can be, I'd much rather spend a day with a friend (or in my case, making a new friend) and working on the project myself. If I save a few dollars in the process, it's a win all around.

Yeah i have a feeling with 33s mine would feel pretty close to what one w/ 35s would since i have so much weight on it. Its already a real dog with 265s.. ill probably get some eventually anyways though bc my tires look way too small right now lol

285s are the perfect tire for 2-4 inches lift IMO

6" or higher almost has to have 35s to look appropriate

That being said....i ran 5" lift with 265s for over a year

    Lol

Theyre so worth it man. You can usually find them for cheap on Amazon or ebay.

I agree with this completely! 285s are probably the biggest id want to go on a taco with out at least 6 inches of lift. If i ever do go that route though it seems like maxtracs would be the best option

You have pizza cutters on yours? I definitely like the idea of 33s without a bunch of cutting and chopping though lol

They take about 30 seconds to install. 5 minutes to do a professional looking job. And once you have one, you can't understand how you ever lived without it. I see them on eBay for $50 all the time.

I'm a huge advocate of spindle lifts obviously

Easiest was to get mega clearance for bigger tires.

Could house a small family under my truck lol
