That game tonight was freakin nuts. And, the Nats/Expos post season curse continues . . .

Unfortunately, the Cubs' pitching staff is pretty spent now while the Dodgers have been chillin'. Nothing like asking your closer to get 7 outs in game 5. Granted, he did get some help . . .

Davis should still be the Royals closer but don't get me started on that . . . and the announcers actually had to rub it in that we got Soler for him who has been in AAA since. Oh yeah, I wasn't going to get started on that was I?

Probably get in trouble for this and never mind the guy could probably break me in half but if Puig ever pulled that crap with me on the mound he'd get a dose of chin music followed by a 2nd dose of chin music. Dude has all the natural given gifts in the book and I highly suspect if they didn't continue to put up with his BS, he'd probably be in jail.

Culberson on the other hand, passed around, moved back to AAA, gets the call, batted 15 times all year, and comes up on the 2nd biggest stage, starts at shortstop, gets a hit, scores a run, and hits a crucial sacrifice fly. That and what Verlander and Altuve did today is why I'm a fan and still watching even if my team ain't playing.

Now, since the Yanks are down 2-0, they'll probably win 4 straight but I'll still watch . . .

 

Though I really do not care who wins either series, Houston fans can blame tonight on me. I started watching when Houston was up 4-0 and said, holy crap, go up 3-1 with Keuchel back on the mound tomorrow, this could be a short series . . .



That for me is just like placing a bet so naturally . . . 6 unanswered, Yanks win!
