Again, will reiterate that I have a little space down in Sunnyvale. It's a ways south, but if you need anything please reach out. I'll do what I can to help.

 

I already have a full house, but I have an RTT and the use of a clean bathroom, kitchen and washer and dryer to help if anyone needs it. I am on the peninsula, so a little far south. I’m trying to help in anyway I can.

 

I think I've done what I can here. Hauled 20 garbage cans of debris from around the house...at least 4 cans of leaves were on the roof. Got them all cleared. Hopefully the tile roof helps protect the house. Wind seems to be picking up now so it's time to go.

Small flare up 2 courts over that a fire truck is on right now. Another flare up 2 blocks in the other direction.

My heart goes out to all those that lost their home.

Thanks for the offer. Loaded the yard debris into their compost bins, soaked it all, then covered it with soil and soaked it again.

My parents' (and the house I grew up in) are behind Hidden Valley school off Bonita Vista. Their neighborhood got hit hard....I'm actually shocked that their house didn't burn. The firefighters put up a hell of a fight to save a number of homes in there.

I'm a hook shot from the fairgrounds in Santa Rosa. It's a 10 minute walk to the theaters and brew pub but I've been staying with SWIMBO at her place in San Anselmo. I'm going to check on the place tomorrow after work if the town is still there, is anyone interested in meeting up for dinner and a brew downtown? Lococco's in rail road square is fabulous or some other place downtown to meet up and denial/commiserate the evening away. Some good food with taco brethren might go a long ways to easing our anxious minds while several years of drought make their presence felt.

Might have better luck at 3rd st aleworks. As far as i saw, that and the burger place near there were the only couple places open in the area

 

Glad we got in the evac zone yesterday to improve the chances for my parents' house. I'm back in Reno now but my mom just told me the police turned them away today.

They are flushing everyone out of the neighborhood and patrolling in unmarked cars to nab looters, which is good but having neighbors in the area yesterday allowed them to call in two hotspots/flare-ups.
