I know exactly what you mean... URD stage 2, 6" lift, bilsteins (very little low speed damping), no swaybar, bedrack and RTT.

My shit sways pretty hard too. and she likes it rough.

My girlfriend would freaking have an orgasm waking up to that view. She has never been to the mountains, she constantly goes through my pictures on my laptop looking at them because she wants to go. I will never hear a word about spending to much on a truck because of that.

I've got a question for all the Tepui Kukenam owners:

Who's having trouble with a loose rain fly? It was nice and tight when I opened the tent the first few times, and now this thing is super loose, even with the adjustment straps pulled in as much as possible. If there's even the slightest breeze this thing flaps loudly all night-it's annoying as hell. I've gotten to the point where I have to leave it off all the time because I'd rather not make the extra effort to remove/replace every day I'm traveling.

Anybody have to get a new rain fly yet to replace a failed one?

I did extensive research into all of the models made by various manufacturers or 'brands" which would work best for us and found the 23-0 Bundaberg Model with Annex to be the best value. Here are the specs:

If a lift gate is needed to unload your new tent there is a $65.00 surcharge. Please select this option when checking out.

The only difference is 20 g denier less but a 3" mattress is better than a 2.5! We liked the ladder overhang and the zip on annex features as well as the way you store the roll up window covers plus the stored/packed up height is slightly less than most.

I can't compare experience using any other RTT to using our 23-0 except to say that it was delivered on time and for less than any comparable tent available at the time from any other source and that it's been great so far. We were in a 4 hour cluster of STRONG thunderstorms in Charleston SC earlier in the HOT summer and we stayed completely dry with all the side windows open. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain, no problem. We love the 23-0 RTT and would strongly recommend the Bundaburg Model. The annex floor is extremely durable and all the hardware is nicely made. Having the full overhang on the ladder side makes a big difference and creates a lot of additional dry space.

Thank you for the response. I had the non extended Smitybilt tent. I can not really say anything bad about it with the exception the the rain fly tends to catch and hold water. I am upgrading to a larger tent w/annex and the 23 Zero is one of those I had been looking at. Thanks again

If it is windy, I usually take the rain fly off in heavy winds as they flap with any tent and keep you awake.

No problem, happy to share my experience. We've only had the tent since June so I can't say how it will last but I'm hopeful based on what we've seen so far. The extended cover area over the ladder has an adjustable vertical stabilizer pole that allows you to "lock down" the tension you want on the edge frame. This same frame becomes the carrier for the zip on annex. The adjustable vertical stabilizer pole also acts as a center vertical frame support member between the edge frame and the hoop frame on the edge/side of the tent. The same edge hoop frame member that opens and holds up the tent roof when you swing open the tent. I believe this system has real merit and is part of the reason that the whole tent was so stable during the serious storm. The vertical stabilizer pole would also be great for snow I'm sure. The Fly is adjustable too and won't hold water at any setting in my opinion. I see where the price is higher now and that sucks, sorry about that. Best of luck with your upgrade! My wife and I are 5'6.5" tall and we have tons of room in ours and the footprint is easy to manage when closed on top of our ARE topper. No overhang at all. We probably could have gotten a smaller one ...but we hope to bring the dogs along starting next summer (maybe).
