Did a mock up of the shift knob I’m planning to make, I think I got all the kinks worked out so I’ll be making the final iteration soon.3533E480-B62E-45BB-B61D-0C1F3F59C65B.jpg
Obviously the end result will look a lot nicer, but this is the approximate size and attachment.

Kudos for making your own, but at first glance I thought you were using a potato, lol. The color and the rough texture threw me off for a sec. I'm interested to see how it turns out. Keep us posted.

Some bad pics here but check em out! Raceseng shift knobs... might be hard pressed to find a more expensive knob but I personally think it was worth it. Heavy weight and the graphite color matches MGM perfectly. Also they come with boot adapters which is a plus.

Here’s one without the adapter... not sure what I prefer

Nicest aftermarket I’ve seen. What model is that? Might have to pull the trigger.

    Model is raceseng slammer

    Finish is graphite texture

They have tons of options, this one is the second heaviest, the ashiko is the heaviest but I was looking for something that looked stock.

Finally got this done, here’s some pics:
    03841829-AA57-4223-A902-084DEE75F6FE.jpg D09007F1-C0BB-4449-9D17-DF1B2D3E0EFA.jpg E6B42504-D07C-46E9-85CC-4AD320F8EB2E.jpg
It’s a little bigger and taller than stock, tho it does weigh less. Stock knob is 181g, this one is 141g.

Made of quarter sawn black walnut, with a vintage Toyota pin set into the top. Natural danish oil finish, 2 coats of spar urathane. Set into a hole drilled in the bottom is a wheel lock from my Subaru that had the right thread size/pitch, so it screws right onto the stick.

I’ll post some installed pics tomorrow, I want to let the poly and epoxy fully cure before I put it on.

I colorfilled the red. This is what I run on my 2nd gen, not sure if they have same threading as 3rd gen, but if they do this shifter is cheap on eBay. IMG_3907.jpg

Got it off Etsy. I believe I googled “vintage Toyota pin” and was the only one I really found for sale online. $20, been pretty happy
