Tweeters, check. Thanks OP, I was literally just looking at systems from $700 to $1500 now with a little coin left in my pocket, maybe some sliders.

I bought the Noico metal roller off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Noico-Installation-Automotive-Deadening-Insulation/dp/B015WJH4ZW

The mass of the roller makes quick work mounting the material. You do need to be careful though as the edges of the roller will cut groves, especially along sharp corners. It's easy enough to patch though.

I apologize for having to ask this question, but can you run the 6x9's up front on a second gen? The Crutchfield site is saying "does not fit". Didn't know if that was applicable or not as it is recommending the 6.5's for all four doors, but could have sworn at some point I had seen folks running 6x9's in second gens in the past.... I'm lost and so out of touch on this kind of stuff now a days. Any help/advice at all would truly be appreciated.

Have always been a fan of kicker, so I'm extremely interested in if this will work. But at this point I don't even know if the tweeters will fit.

    Thank you all.

A few pages back there was a member who has a 2nd gen that bought these speakers and I believe found his truck (before he bought used) already had the same door speakers installed. That post would be worth looking into. As I recall the tweeters are NOT a fit though

Well, I know that the Subaru tweeters are NOT a direct fit for 2nd Gens because I bought some and tried it.
But, I thought that 2nd Gen DC trucks had 6x9s in the front doors, so I don't see why the rest of the speakers wouldn't work. Can somebody confirm??

Did you end up getting the tweeters to work or did you just sell them off ?

I just sold them. The brackets were the same, but the plug was different. I think I could have modified the factory plug to work, but the plug on the tweeter was on the top of the tweeter and I was afraid it would contact the door panel. Instead of taking the chance, I sold them.

Nope but would be interested to find out. Pretty impressed w/ how the HU powers these kickers w/o an amp though. Definitely surpassed expectations

Crutchfield Kicker speakers front and rear - $126.98
Amazon Subaru tweeter - $100.25 (because Alaska and shipping it’s the best deal I could get)
    Amazon Noico 50mil - $39.20
So for just over the OP $250 limit and considering the shipping to Alaska usually puts it over the top I think I did pretty well. Hoping it’s all here for next weekend so I can do an install.

I have a question about the sound deadening. According to their calculation, 4 doors requires 34 square feet. Why is everyone only buying 25 feet of sound
    deadening?

25 Sq Ft wasn't enough for me. I needed about 30 Sq Ft but I also used quite a bit of material inside the outer skin of the door and not everyone did as much coverage in that area. The numbers on that chart are generic.

Did the tweeters a few months ago and just got all 4 kicker speakers from Crutchfield on sale last week. HUGE difference in quality for so little money. I actually did the left side first so I could compare the two sets of speakers and it's significant.

Has anyone replaced the tweeters in a JBL package system from Toyota? How do the Subaru Kicker tweeters compare stock JBL ones? What about stock JBL door speakers?
