I have the hitachi too and its been solid for a 10x16 storage building and several hundred feet of fencing. Couldn't imagine not having it now.

No preference but if you buy online, use http://renovopower.com/lowes.html

It looks sketchy and you may have to try a few codes (found in the comments) but I have been using the 40 off 200 codes for fence materials as I go and its saved me quite a bit.

Every project I've used it for has gone well, not tripping over cords no noise of a compressor running!

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
What do you plan on doing, and how much will you use it?
    Hitachi makes a great gun

The Paslode pneumatic guns will put up with a lot of abuse and are easily services

used a hitachi for a bit this summer. Only complaint I have is the bolt and bushing that holds the safety in place kept falling out at the jobsite. It finally fell out and I had to jerry rig spring washer and bushing for a replacement. My fix has held a lot longer than the original bolt/bushing combo. other than that a couple jams but nothing else major.

10 tons of crusher run being delivered tomorrow for my patio base. Spreading and tamping should be fun.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I've got Porter Cable, Hitachi, Dewalt, and Grex. Oh, and a cheapy Campbell Hausfeld. All of them were bought on ebay used except for the CH and the two Dewalts. I had to replace the feed rail on the Hitachi because it was jamming. The rail was broken near the infeed. I had to replace the striker on the Grex because it was broken. I just rebuilt it with the seal kit while I was in there. My Dewalt framer nailer needs rebuilt also. It's leaking air but that's understandable since it's over ten years old and has been put through it's paces. My BIL used it a lot and I don't think he oiled it like he should have.

That being said, they have all functioned flawlessly.

Hitachi coil framer. I have used Senco, Porter Cable and Bostitch. Hitachi is the best I have tried. All my guns are now Hitachi from the framer all the way to 23 gauge pin gun.
