Wow this thread really bit the dust. Oh well, I finally got rid of my shitty spacer lift with the XREAS and ripped it all out and replaced it with the Toytec Ultimate with 650# springs and upgraded to some SPC upper control arms. Ride quality is really a thing....especially since my XREAS was absolutely SHOT! Here are a few pics

Installed small lift on the Mrs. '18 4Runner yesterday. The new tires were rubbing a little due to the change in tire/wheel size.

Installed cowl snorkel. Added a 1" bolt in spacer to tone down the front springs a little. 4" in the rear now.20180304_180207.jpg

Was seeing drops of water in my air box going through 12-18" water. Too much of my liner has been cut out.
My A pillar has too many dents in it from going in the ruff forest, so external is out of the question.

I'm a little ruff with mine, decided to get rid of the molding period. She's got about 4-4.5" lift in the front also.20171119_115905.jpg

Looks good, why did you go with oval vs round?

When you lift up the plastic cowl cover, it has a drain gutter attached to it in that spot.

I cut a round at first before I realised it, welded the half moon shape back on. I put the oval part under it and not to push it up. Also it got the opening towards the bottom, a little farther from any draining water below it.

Hmm, I don't remember any issues like that, looks like mine is in about the same spot. Want to clean mine up with a silicone elbow like yours though, and maybe SS or AL round tube.

edit - I think I chopped that piece you are referring to out.

Was a piece that sat bellow the vent hole there.

Put a little Taco in my 08. Ripped out the xreas and installed TRD Offroad takeoffs. The ride is far and away better. I actually got about 2 inches of lift in the front as well. Bought the take offs for 50 bucks with all of the bushings and hardware.

See I’m thinking of doing this to my 16 and wondering how much lift I would get. I’m able to get takeoffs pretty cheap round here

My stock xreas had 150k on it so its a huge difference. I would assume that it wouldn't give you much more clearance since your 4r is so new. I could be wrong, however.

I was thinking the 3rd Gen tacos OR suspension would take it up just enough to level it

Maybe so. Its worth a shot if its cheap IMO. If I am not mistaken, the TRD springs are progressive so they do bounce around a little but as they take on load, they firm up. You will definitely feel a difference. Its much more truck like that the shot setup I had. Ive got a skewp on my hood and as soon as I got it out on the road I actually had to look over it. I dont have an exact measurement, but I swear It raised the front 10 to 15 degrees if you use the back wheel as your start point.

Well decided to get out and about for the first real trip with the new suspension tires and wheels! It exceeded my expectations and soooooo happy I went with kings from the get go. Next is sliders. Have them just gotta weld them on. 20180226_125608.jpg 20180226_115120.jpg

Ran the alum for 4.5 yrs, got tired of trying to reshape them. Not concerned on trying to save on weight anymore either.
I bent the transfer skid and straighten and reinforced them a couple yrs ago. So reinforced these before I install them.
Filled the drain holes also, all they do is make a mess of things.1525047200048537634040.jpg
