Let me see your high millage tacomas! These beasts are known for going close to 300,000. If you got a tacoma with high miles but still a strong runner post them!
I got 166,816 miles, which is probably low.

217,402 on my 2003. I have the 5VZ-FE under the hood, no mechanical issues there are anywhere else. I parked next to a 94-ish pre-Taco Toyota Pickup at work yesterday that had 389,902 on the clock and looked great. With the rate I accumulate miles I'll be up in that realm in a few years.

I got my truck w/ 170,000 miles in 2011. And now I have just over 260,000. Preventative maintenance is the key!

It took a little awhile. I installed LED's in the dash, HVAC area, gear shift area, ashtray and glove box. And I used white LED's in the dome & map lights. There are threads on how to do it all. I also watched a few videos on YouTube. Just make sure to test the lights before you put everything back together, because if the LED's don't light up you have to turn them 180 degrees. Since they have reverse polarity.

You need , Dash 4 - 194, HVAC 3 - Neowedge 4mm and 3 or 4 -#74's. I didn't link them. But they're all from superbrightleds.com and if you're going to do the HVAC area, you're going to have to buy a new faceplate off of a 3rd gen T4R. Since our Tacomas have an orange film behind the HVAC face that doesn't allow the color of light through. You can't scrape it off either. I bought mine from a Local parts recycler. They wouldn't just let me buy the face plate either. I had to buy the whole entire HVAC unit for $40! Not trying to thread jack. Just making sure you do it right the 1st time! Make sure to get the HVAC face plate out of an SR5 T4R not a limited. The limited is digital. Good luck!
