Can anyone recommend a good place to get hydro dipping done at? I’m in the middle of a headlight retrofit, and I’d like to get the reflector bowls dipped in a pattern rather than just painting them; however, the local place here in Fayetteville went out of business, and the 3 or 4 other places I reached out to didn’t want to do business enough to respond to email inquiries. Now, before anyone suggests calling these places, I get that a phone call might put me in touch with someone faster, but I’ve learned the hard way that it’s better to have a record of a conversation, usually in an email. At any rate, hope you guys have some recommendations for places to go to or stay away from for hydro dipping... thanks!

I have a lead for you on hydrodipping. Try Sebastian at Unique Custom Coating. I was in the same position you were. There are two well-known hydrodipping places that were semi-local to me (~80miles away). But neither of them answered their phones or emails promptly and gave me the general feeling that they didn't need/want my business. So I decided to hunt for a hydrodip place that could take care of my project even if I had to mail him my parts.

Sebastian is a one-man show for his hydrodipping business as it is his part time side job. But the dude is a perfectionist and artist and listens to want the customer wants. He gave me useful advice based on the film color that I decided on. He dipped some parts in the film color that I chose and showed me the differences in appearance between flat clearcoat and semi-gloss clearcoat. And he was more than fair on his pricing based on the amount of work that is done.

I don't know him personally and have never met the guy face-to-face, but I can't say enough about the guy and I totally endorse his hydrodipping business. Good luck!
