That's very similar to what came on my old Dan Wesson V-Bob.

@STOCKTRD A course by Steve Fisher of Sentinel Concepts is something I highly recommend. He travels across the country so he may come to an area near you. Also Steve Jedlinski of Modern Samurai Project is another I'd attend(actually planning on it soon), both of which are vetted and recommended by the Primary & Secondary community whose mission is to provide a community to everyone from the average shooter needing info to Law Enforcement and all the way to armed forces currently in an AO overseas. As you can see from previous replies, training is the number one upgrade I can recommend for you.

Train often, suck less, survive the fight.

Once it's on, it's ok. I much prefer the BC DOS Torsion over the Alien gear. Clean, fast and simple. The Alien gear holster was a present from my brother though.

Alien Gear is OKAY for a starter holster but in the face of better brands like Bravo Concealment or Raven Concealment, AG is complete crap.

    Yes.

That's what it was for me. A starter holster. I have a concealment express holster for my first firearm. Love that holster too and it's really great for the price!

    Too few to list.
I've been eyeing the G19-5 as my next pistol.

I wouldn't day I have a stout load out. Just some basic fuckery. Sights are definitely a must though! I don't plan on going crazy with my G17 necessarily. My Shield will be my primary EDC that gets a little more lovin' and my Glock will be my more stout EDC for special circumstances i.e. sketchy Craiglist deals.

I’ve been eyeballing the agency arms patrol build out. Looks pretty good and it isn’t as pricey as one would think. Might have to do this next.

What do you want done to it? $250 is over half the cost of a new Gen5.

Well I want my gen 4 19 mos to have forward serrations and to have the grip stippled and finger grooves removed. Also a agency trigger would be nice.

Agency gives 10% off too for first respoders. So the total would be around 675... that includes grip Work, trigger Work, and slide Work.

Ok legit question, and Im asking in the glock forum, but can be asked of any make/model. If used in a legitimate self defense scenario, what is the legality of using a customized gun? For example, all these guys who build "Roland Specials" from Glock 19s, or even the polymer 80 frames. If thats all you have, and you have to use it, what kind of issues would you be looking at afterwards?
And, what about the so called shooting insurance that is being offered now? like NRA guard, CCW Safe, or USCCA? Would that be better to have with a factory gun or a customized gun?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Caught wind back in July that Glock was doing a limited run of Glock 17/22 RTF2 so I preordered the G17 RTF2. Only 9mm Glock I don’t own were a G17 and G17L. Never found a reason when I already owned a 19 and 34 but since this was a rareish version with gills and RTF frame I thought its about time to get a 17:

To answer your question there is no case law where a modified weapon has been proven against a defendant with the exception of dumb stuff such as idiots making illegal mods or the officer who is having his duty AR ejection port door's inscription being used against him. Shooting insurance seems like a no brainer to me, akin to having car insurance. Just like owning a firearm I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Some of these services will even replace your weapon, SINCE it will likely be in evidence up until you can prove your innocence which can be some time, up to a certain amount.

Thanks, I remember reading about that case now. Just googled it and looks like the trial is currently going on. interested to see the outcome.
I will definitely look into getting the insurance, I'm still on the fence about building a poly80 for self defense.
