    Evening all:
Was outside trimming and packaging the deer meat, I was almost done and look over in the woods and there stands a doe and her two young ones at about 60 yards! :) I have doe tags, archery is open, muzzleloader doe is open, and starting today I could use a rifle for doe as an old geezer!
I left her go, I see her all the time and she's like a neighbor, that's one lucky deer!

We had a cool thing happen the other day. (Please nobody show this to my wife!)

My wife was at Walmart, where she insists on getting her prescription filled even though it only costs about $5 more the way I do it and the darn thing shows up in my mailbox after a phone call. But never mind that. While at Walmart she misplaced her wallet. It had a couple of credit cards, driver's license, and maybe $15 in it. She gets home distraught, calling everywhere, talking to people at Walmart, everthing we could think of. Nada. Heavy sigh. Let's start canceling the cards and figuring out how to get a new license.

About 30 minutes later a stranger pulls up our driveway. A woman had found my wife's wallet in the Walmart parking lot, sans cash. She punched the address from the license into her GPS and drove to our house to give us the wallet. Mind you, we live a good 25 miles from that Walmart! Plus we live about 10 miles from the town named in our address. When she finally got here she was so lost I had to get in my car and drive her out to familiar territory.

But she had found my wife's wallet. And she knew how she would feel if she lost hers.

I don't really have words. We'll just have to pay it forward.

I got mine returned back in the 70's. Left in our storm door. No money in it but didn't care.
I would have given the person the cash if there was any in it anyway.

Enjoy the thread. Many good folks in here and a few soon to be 60's. I'm another old fart still driving a stick Tacoma. Would have nothing else.

 Glad Repo had some company. How was the camping and biking?

Congrats on the deer. Glad you let the doe go. She is replenishing the food supply for the future. Coming home from the missus eye Dr. appointment on Wednesday night at 7:30 and almost hit a big doe as she was running across in front of me. Hit the brakes and just missed her. Guy behind me must have s#*t his pants wondering why I was stopping like that until he saw the deer. It's that time of the year.

Thanks for posting guy's, shows that there are still some good people out there. Renews ones faith in humanity.

I actually first went Tacoma shopping for a Manual trans. Then wife reminded me "do you want to be stuck in some heavy traffic jam someplace and constantly clutching that truck?" -- I wound up agreeing with her . Got the auto instead. I have no problems with the way it shifts. The only thing that I don't like is the surging RPMS --especially bad when the truck is warming up. It will vary 100-200 RPM's. I am afraid that if I decide to not clean the snow/ice some day -- and if I do not push on the brake pedal with different force (when the surge occurs -- the truck may slip into our big double garage door. This "issue" will be discussed at length with the dealer at my 10K check

Hey Gary --you got a kiddo on that team that went to my local small hometown small H.S. #84 Hale Hentges (Plays a lot --junior) he is one of your Offensive tight ends. The kid is a true gentleman a great player. I took a lot of pics of him and the rest of the team playing HS basketball -- I would hang out under the end court baseline a lot -- saw a lot of rough action -- never ever did I see him loose his cool with the refs or other players

I am happy he chose to come to Alabama and he is doing a great job and is definitely a team player.

Hale demonstrates the king of character that coaches love and is a tremendous asset to our team.

Great to know you actually know of him. Alabama gets sooo many great players --a lot of kids can sort of get lost in the glitter and glamour. A couple of weeks ago he got his first touchdown. They should use him more that way-- the other team would not expect it! Of course-- Seems like Bama does not need much help to win!
Yesterday I think he had 2 catches --no scores.

I do not understand why Bama does not utilize the Tight Ends more. A good example of how effective they can be was O.J. Howard in the 2015 National Championship Game (I was there) who had 4 catches for 207 yards against Clemson.

Morning Mark and Gary, Penn State was chanting "Bring on BAMA" at their game against Michigan last night. They still have Ohio and MSU to get past and then maybe down the road they will get to play Bama?!?!
