3.4 v6 wont start need help

last night I was driving and hit a high rpm. Shortly after the truck starting stalling and check engine light flashed a few times before the truck shut off and the check engine light stays on. Tempature gauge is pegged the truck never over heated. Truck will not start. With the egnition off the check engine light is on and the temperature gauge is pegged. Coolant is good there is no antifreeze in the oil. Timing belt is good. Tried to hook up obd2 reader and it would not read my truck. Can not figure out what the issue is.

 

Neither can I. What kind of vehicle and year engine are we talking about?
Edit:what kinda high rpms? wont start, cranks but no start or wont crank?

 

3.4v6 130,000 miles 5 speed 1998 tacoma it will crank just find doesn't want to start never made any knocking or smoke nothing like that and I hit rev limiter the ground was wet

possible timing belt broke. pull the top t-belt cover and check it.

Did that it's good

 

Test for spark. Pull one of the plugs, hold it up against the metal block/head, and crank the engine. Try and see if you can get it to spark. It's easier to see it in a garage vs being outside. You can hear it snap too.

Or better yet, if you have access to an actual spark testing tool, use it.

No key is not in the truck and hasn't been started for more than 12 could it be a short if the gauge is pegged like that and engine light is on

 

Unplug the alternator and check all your grounds.
