They will be fully deflated. If I recall it's unsafe to pressurize them when off of the vehicle.

I noticed that your fill valve for your lower chamber is facing the inside. My valve upper and lower faces the outward toward the wheel...I wonder if it suppose to be oriented like yours.

I don't think it really matters. I think I did mine that way because I thought it might be better protected, but it's six of one half, dozen of the other.

How did you flip them to that side?

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Just twist the shaft with a long bolt or large screw driver.

Resurrecting an old thread. How are the ORI struts holding up? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thinking about heading down this route.

Mine are still goin strong. No real problems but I was considering sending em in to be rebuilt this year as a pre cautionary measure. It’s been about 3 years since I put em on and maybe 30000 miles.

Thank you! Any problems with overheating on the road. Mine is a non trailered 90% trail rig but I still have to drive to get there.

I've never noticed but mine is mostly on road driving so they probably don't get a rigorous workout on a regular basis. Once I felt the remote reservoirs after a drive on a mild forest road and they were only slightly warm. The remotes will help with cooling for sure.

Does anyone have a picture of how you mounted the ori shocks on the top?

    I did them this way...

    For clarification...

    _EP38839.jpg

I was told that if you mount them with the top hat the other way like the pic below, the shocks will allow the control arms to droop so much that the CV joints will become damaged... DO NOT MOUNT THEM LIKE THE PICTURE BELOW!

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I made the mounts. We haven't sold these in years due to the ORI lead times.

Would you make the mounts again if requested? I'm considering going with some ORI struts for the front.

Would it be possible to use a mount from any other normal coilover?

What makes the ORI top hats different from others from say Fox or King? Is it the height at which the top shock bolt is located? I found this pic of a traditional coilover (not mine) and the top bolt of my ORIs is higher than the one in the picture below, since the ears point upwards toward the hood not downward toward the ground.

Could a different top hat be modified to work? Like maybe flipped and grinded for clearance or something?
