Let's end the night looking at the kinda sorta nice looking side. Officially have brakes now. Will cut my boost lines tomorrow.

Also, raising the radiator up a couple inches this time. Will cut the bracket tomorrow as well. I was loosing a lot of coolant and I figured out it was because the radiator was sitting way too low.

Jesus Christ what kind of neighborhood do you live in where there is just a Lamborghini Gallardo chilling in the driveway. My neighbor has an old rusty Jeep Cherokee sitting in it.

The kind that I'm very grateful that the whole block puts up with me running my dirt bikes up and down the street all day doing tuning :bikewheelie: and also my dad's hot rod running off headers which you can probably hear across the country it's so loud haha! I do help everyone out on the street with car problems though and help with other random minor things like moving stuff. Goes both ways I guess.

Any of you guys ride? Or mostly just wheel?

I grew up in the mountains so I grew up doing gravity sports - mainly snow and river stuff. Moved up to Mammoth a few years back and worked up there 9 days before I broke my leg. Now I get my kicks exploring and climbing / hiking out in the desert.

Last time I was out near Barstow I saw some kids on dirtbikes by Rainbow Canyon and they looked like they were having a good time. I might have got into that if I grew up around it.

Where do you like to ride?
Ugh I'm going to have to drive to a muffler shop with only headers soon - 2 miles down Lakewood Blvd. :fingerscrossed: no cops lol.

Pretty cool! Have always wanted to try snow boarding. I'm hoping to give it a try at Mount Baldy within a couple winters. Bummer with the leg though. What luck :(

Do you usually do early morning or evening hiking in the desert? Must be so peaceful.

Barstow/ Johnson Valley is one of my favorite spots. Been wanting to ride from there to Slash X and back someday (if you're familiar with that random bar in the desert). Cleghorn off the 15 is a cool little spot as well. Always like seeing some Tacomas crawling around there from time to time.

    Doing a new muffler?

Nothing refreshing like fresh oil, finding and fixing the intake leak on the slow&loud intake causing rough idle, and finding where an annoying rattle was on my daily today. Have some 33"x12.5"x15" tires going on it once my girls truck is done. Going to make my own control arms and push them out about 3" using Johnny Joints and uniballs both top and bottom arms.

Snowboarding is a ton of fun - the air up there just feels good to breath. It's probably a good thing, it actually is a good thing I broke my leg - the level of stuff that I probably would have wound up doing has been the cause of a lot worse for people since that happened.

That would be the right time to do it - especially in the summer, or even in October this year! Time of year matters a lot. One of my best trips was in April a year and a half ago. I was able to hike all day and have almost perfect weather all 3 days (got a little windy the third day) and still enough light for 9 hour hikes / climbs. The peacefulness helps me reset for working in the city. Here's a link to that trip:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/anthony-y-el-burrito-blanco.372728/page-2#post-12153893

That would be a fun ride! I've wanted to go from Dagget to the 247 south / east of where it meets up with the 18. Hopefully once I get my 4x4 truck going.

One of the first places I brought my 2nd gen was Cleghorn on a whim when I was cruising on the 15. It was fun - I can only imagine on a dirtbike. I'd like to go from the 15 to an exit on another road so I don't have to double back to the freeway next time.

New aftermarket headers. I have a cat and a muffler that I'll reuse. I just need a newer connecting pipe that will hopefully match the diameter of the collecting tube on the headers and (maybe) be stainless? Depends on the price difference the shop quotes me. It's only one straight run. I want a simple down turn after the muffler before the rear axle. Hopefully they don't charge me a lot for that - it seems pretty simple to me, but I'm not going to be the one fabbing it lol.

Locked front and rear, bumpers, sliders, cage etc..33" Cooper STT PRO's. Mild suspension lift.
Any more pics of that Cooper, looks a lot more aggressive there than other pics I've seen?

That's exactly where they're going :) Those are my babies. My girlfriend has pretty much still new Mickey Thompson All Terrains on her truck.

Took a look at your thread that you had linked me to earlier. Amazed at how clear those pictures are. The lizard and snake! I'm so accustomed to focusing on stuff far out in front that of me without detail because usually I'm moving at a pretty quick pace on the bike and never see stuff like that.

Would love to do a little hiking in the desert after seeing that. Might have the chance the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Going "camping" for the night near Slash X with some friends. Would love to slow it down and take a look at everything, enjoying the peacefulness.

Made them myself because line and fittings were so cheap. $8 for straights and something like $15 for 45s and 90s (pictures are what I used for high pressure lines). They are rated for pressures seen in power steering applications. For the return from reservoir to pump I used Aeroquip FC300 -10 line with 90s on each end. The 2' of return line cost an arm and a leg...
