    low beam + fogs
    high beam + fogs
high beam + fogs + light bar

it's raining plus maybe some auto adjust thing on the camera, I don't think my headlights are really that dim.
The bar is better than I expected honestly. Slim single row 100W cheap chinese bar from Amazon.

Went out to Dry Creek area at Savannah TN yesterday.

    :mudding:

Didn't find the waterfall which disappointed the kids.
Didn't finish the trail either because I didn't want to risk getting stuck out there with kids in the truck. Took a chance on one long mud hole and felt us losing momentum pretty quick but made it out. When we saw the next section of holes after that, we turned around. Couldn't tell depth or condition of the mud in them.
A section of stepped rocks and deep ruts took a few chucks out of my tires and I dropped the back end off a ledge more quickly than intended at one point resulting in a loud bang of unknown origin. No signs of damage anywhere. :notsure:
Knocked my shell out of position somehow too.

We all still had fun and still got to go fishing in the river, just not the area originally planned.
Today I have re-situated the shell and trying to get all the mud and fine silt junk out of everything.

new part for the truck although it'll only be in there if I plan to need it.

Got an 8" tablet black friday deal. Got a non-skid case so I can just toss it on passenger seat. It also fits in spot in front of shifter. A bigger tablet wouldn't fit in there.

It's wifi only model but has GPS built-in. Downloaded maps to it while on wifi and can use it to figure out where I am on trails. Much nicer than little phone screen for reading maps.

Had to return the first one. GPS didn't work. Where my phone could find 20 satellites in seconds (with data & wifi off), tablet wouldn't find any satellites at all. Exchanged it at store the other day and this one works great.

If you have any interest in a dash mount, check out PanaVise mounts. I use one for my cb. I think @Dave41079 has one for a tablet.

Yep, I have a PanaVise mount in the dash, with RAM stuff bolted to it to hold my iPad mini. I use it with the ELM327 OBDII adapter to read engine information/scan codes, and also use it for maps.

will a suction cup mount hold on the plastic side of center console? Like beside shifter?

I tried, didn't have much luck. It would fall off at the most inopportune moment. The nice thing about the PanaVise mount for the second gen Tacoma is that it doesn't leave any visible screwholes in the dash, so it's completely reversible. You pull the HVAC controls and it screws into the panel beside them. You can then mount any kind of RAM accessories to that. It was the best solution to hold a tablet I could come up with.

I might finally have a clue about the intermittent power loss.
Today I saw on scangauge that timing was dropping into negative numbers during acceleration when it felt like I was getting below normal power.
Still hasn't triggered code or CEL.

My throttle position number seemed normal so I think TPS ruled out.

Maybe an oil control valve is occassionaly sticking causing vvti to be weird?
