After a few years without a truck I found a need to get another. Wife and I bought a new house with almost an acre to take care of so buying a truck again was inevitable. I have always driven VW's with the exception of my 2008 DCSB which I traded in on a 2012 Gti.

I wil reserve this space for my build thread.

Here is my 2017 DCSB TRD Sport the day I bought it

Just got home from my summer vacation to find half of one our trees down in the front yard. Perfect excuse to borrow a trailer and use it for my first tow

Could not stand the factory radio. I have been installer for the last 25 years so it was naturally my first mod. There will be a lot of stereo work done in this truck. I put the Pioneer NEX 4200 which I already had from a previous car. Paired that with the iDatalink Maestro which retained all feature and functions of the truck including the reverse camera which helps me keep an eye on whatever I'm towing.

Started to prewire for the upcoming stereo install

I made some adapters out of 1/2" HDPE for the speakers in the doors. I am using Focal KRX3 3-way components up front and Focal KRC165 components in the rear.

And some templates for the midrange and tweeter.
