That sounds like my truck when there are issues with the spark plugs or fuel injectors. Check engine light?

Could be a vacuum leak - they tend to go away once the engine is warm like you mentioned. No way to say for sure without looking at it and running some tests. Ignition, air supply, or fuel problems could all cause that unfortunately.

My bet is a leaky fuel injector because you started the car while it was still warm then you started getting the problem. If it was a coil pack it would have been two cylinders I believe. I have the same exact problem right now

Depending on what motor you have, it could be oil leaking around the valve cover gasket and shorting out the spark plugs.

Mine did the same at 160K miles. Same code. Replaced fuel injectors and issue went away. 2000 PreRunner 2.7L

You can do a compression test on that bank of cylinders and find out if it's a mechanical cause for misfire in that cylinder if it's way below the other two. If it's not then it could be a plugged injector (or other things :)) You can use the screw driver test for the injector to see if it's misfiring.

Pulling the spark plug for a visual inspection wouldn't be a bad idea since it's a 15 minute job since it's on the passenger side and he already replaced the wire. Then compression and fuel for sure.

So I replaced my number 6 injector, and now running smoothly. Its funny the code reader at O'Rileys was saying both #3 and #6 were misfiring, which stumped me. Because the misfire didn't move when I rotated my coil packs.

Did it in 3 hours :bananadance:

Thank you for the help because my code is reading the same exact thing!
