Barn built 1940 dodge bed trailer with dexter axel and not at all. Its only 10 feet long, and incredibly basic. Do You have any pictures?

I meant of the tight spots on rimrocker thanks though. Cool trailer.

Got to go out to Crested Butte this weekend. It snowed Friday night, so we got to snowbust up to the Daisy Pass trail head. When we ran the road in the morning, it had 3 to 6" of snow on it with small drifts up to 18", perfectly doable. Water crossing at Slate River was fairly tame. Trail is getting a little overgrown, so expect some pin-striping. When we came back down late in the afternoon, most of the snow had melted and the trail was an absolute muddy mess - very fun time.

Here's a view up the valley towards the pass:

Only a short way up the hiking trail, looking back down at the truck and road. Can you spot the Taco?

View from the headwall. You can see the maroon bells barely peaking over the mountains in the distance.

Decided this morning to go find winter. Took Buckhorn Rd up to Ballard Rd then to Greer Rd. Took Greer to the gate, turned around and went back to Ballard. Made first tracks on Ballard the rest of the way. Turned around and ran back to Buckhorn over Pennock Pass to Old Flowers. Got half way through Old Flowers and had to turn around. There was a long bed diesel back there that got stuck . A 1st gen 4Runner got him out. I came up on them and the diesel driver told me there was closed gate further up :notsure:. Being it was getting dark, I didn’t want to risk it so the 4Runner and myself followed him out to make sure he made it. Took Pingree Park Rd back to Hwy 14 and home. All in all about 6 hours and 115 miles of virtually no one. Awesome!

I mapped the trail and don't recall any really tight areas if you're used to tighter Colorado trails. As you get closer to Moab it is tighter and has the pin stripe areas but I'm guessing it's better now since more people are using it.

It’s still very tight approaching Moab at the base of the La Sal mountains, but you’re just looking at pinstripes. No super tight turns that I can recall where a trailer would make things tricky. I ran it October of this year.

Yup, tight as far as pin stripes. I do remember a couple tight turns but there's plenty of room and I'm sure they've been widened since I drove it last.

Quick trip up Devil's Canyon today. Way more snow than I expected. Warm enough that getting up the hill and switchbacks wasn't a problem but mostly snow covered; it'll be an icy mess if it gets cold enough at night as it saw lots of traffic today and the snow is packed down. I forgot my chains, so I didn't go break snow once up top. There were no tracks heading into the loop on the left side, but the right had seen traffic. I hiked to a legal location to fire off a few rounds and headed out.

Some pics from yesterday. Bummed I didn't get any shots of the winch line rigging, or any pics of the truck on the trailer. Hoping some others did.

Fur lined crocs for a winter recovery.

    airing down.

    top of the pass.

    Jeep needed a little help.

That particular setup didn't actually work. This was the first attempt and it bent the front of the trailer as well as creating extra strain on the winch.

Side note, that line on the winch is approaching 20 years old and I actually stalled the 9k winch a few times that afternoon and the line held fine.

Yeah, I think that's the one that was bending that tire mount. I didn't get a good one of the two snatch block ~90deg setup that worked

Yeah, That little tire holder was not a good choice but we eventually figured it out with the strap off the trailer tongue.
