Hey everyone, stoked to join the community! First time owner.. Toyota Tacoma 2017 TRD Off Road with heritage grill and running boards. Couple of questions right off the bat...

    1. Anyone know if its still possible to find Flippac campers out there!? I'd be willing to do a road trip south of the border since most people here don't even know what I'm talking about. haha

    2. Upgrade rubber to (265/75/16) BFG AT KO2's or Toyo Open Country AT2's?
Probably drive 80/20 road/dirt. Want something more aggressive that will perform better OR but wont hurt the mpg too badly ;)

Picture of the beast before leaving the dealership!

Welcome! Great looking truck! I'm sure a few people with chime in soon who have used those tires before. Most people love the KO2 though.

Welcome! My wife and I are opening a new overland store in cloverdale if you ever need anything! We don't do flippac though. I know flippac is discontinued, so you would have to find a used one. The other option would be the AT Habitat, which is sold by kakadu in Richmond. If you haven't seen the habitat before, it's basically the same concept as a flippac, but it opens over the back rather than the front.

Which dealer in BC did you end up buying from? Get a good deal?

Congrats on the new truck, the Habitat does look really good. I have KO2s and they are a good tire, just did Hurley pass and then Pemberton down to Hope via Lillooet/Harrison lake in October and they did great.

Dealer near where I live West Broadway and Hemlock. Hard to get any kind of ‘deal’ since these trucks hold their value so well. Got my accessories all free and no documentation fee (approx. $1500 saved). You on the hunt? Good luck man!

Yes, I am currently looking for a 2018. I am also finding it hard to get a good deal. Nice trucks but expensive!

There is a TW member here from Victoria that scored a used Flippac for a good price, he jumped on it right away, think it was on craigslist or kijiji.

If you guys are interested in any other camping or wheeling stuff, my wife and I just opened an overland store in Cloverdale last week! We don't have a tonne of product yet, but what we do have is pretty sweet. Hoping to grow as people hear about us :fingerscrossed:
