So an issue we're having is that the manufacturer needs a down payment to get all the raw materials. I am inquiring about that amount. Perhaps we can split this GB into halves. So well pay just enough to get it started, and then pay the other half when its done and ready to ship?

 

Do we know if there is a limit on what they're willing to risk on that time frame?

What about a monetary limit? Like They're okay with risking 10k for more than 21 days etc.

 

They didn’t give one as far as a total, but because each transaction was over $500, I think that’s where they draw the line.

 

Lol they wont tell us what the raw materials cost or we would see how much a profit their making lol

 

I think its possible that they will give us a minimum amount we have to send in order to get it going.

 

And this is why one of these tents costs double what we're paying to get from a stateside company.

@docloco and @Mrguitarguy01 are putting in a shitload of time (=thier money) for us.

Hopefully we can make this work, but those two better not have to buy thier own beer around TW meet ups for a while....

 

OK... Sorry to harp on this. I previously read that "everyone has been paid"... That's simply not true. Do you have of list of those NOT paid back yet?
I'm asking because I don't want everything moving forward thinking everyone's money has been refunded when that is not the case... Not trying to be a dick here, just wondering who else has not received their PayPal repayment.

I think he meant everyone that re-paid to doc, myself included, has been refunded by him. OP is still working with paypal to square everyone away from the first round of payments/refunds

Also, I had to check my cc statement to see my refund since I paid with a card through paypal. If anyone did the same, check the card/account if nothing is showing in your paypal balance

 

Well as it stands for those of you who don't already know OP's PayPal is locked and there isn't anything
he can do about it just yet plenty of people still haven't gotten the second payment back because of this and OP has made it clear that he will refund it asap. As for Doc's repayment he didn't refund the payment he canceled it which you won't see any activity from the cancleation in your bank account being its Sunday and probably won't for at least 3 days because banks suck. Either which way you will receive your money. Please just be patient in Paypal's end all be all fuckerie of not wanting to back us.

It would be clarified that all of doclocos transfers have been refunded minus some east coasters for shipping. Ill call paypal tomorrow...again.

 

Im not sure who managed the Texas funds, doclocos or someone else? I have not been refunded either my initial, primary payment or the smaller second payment.

Answering a question or 2 above, I paid via PayPal with a direct draft from my bank account. the funds have neither returned to PayPal (I think this is where they would be refunded) or directly back into my checking account.

 

Funds were not separated by location. Either you paid me, or you paid the OP. All the TW members that paid me for a tent were refunded. You’ll get your money when PayPal unfucks the OP’s account.

 

I just happen to come across this tent company last night and they seem pretty legit maybe someone could contact them and work out a GB with them instead. 2-3 person tent pictured
