This is what I was thinking. The fender is definitely being pushed out though.

Use a small level and a carpenter's square... compare it to the other side. Should help you at least focus in on where the problem is originating.

Is the cap deformed..? cracked..? Wider gap in rear window on the top, bottom, other side..?

You'll figure it out. My money is on that bed stiffener you installed... bet it's not square and when you tightened it down it pulled things outta whack, or you loosened some bolts and the fender 'dropped' while you were tinkering. Check both stiffener brackets, heat that fuker up and beat it with a hammer 'til it's 89 degrees

and... get it done before the ice and snow comes or you'll bust the tail light or mess up the seals and get water, condensate, ice, shit inside the light which will start rotting things out in there..

I’m thinking the fender bent. Was Offroad and had a few bounces. I’ll remove the tail light and go from there. The sheet metal is deformed. The stiffener is in the right place. All on the passenger side where the sheet metal was slightly bent before. The cap window isn’t slowing as well though as the fender did push out. May get some ratchet strap in there and check for cracks.

Your entire bedside is giving way. You can see the wrinkle right above the top tail light bolt. I'd like to see a picture of your the entire truck to see what kind of load you are carrying. The bedsides are notoriously weak but that is an unusual place for it to be deforming.

Didn’t think I was carrying a crazy amount. Have the rtt, cap, and rack. The tool box has some switches, a small propane tank but that’s it. Nothing crazy for what a tool box could be holding.

I wouldn't think that is too much either. What does the other side look like? You can measure from the bed up to the top of the bed rail on both sides and maybe on another similar truck.

I’ll measure but the total chaos stiffeners haven’t moved. Just the sheet metal behind it which makes me think it’s the bed rail/bed step that makes up the fender that is bent

    Tailgate still opens too.

Those are pre current build shots. Hopefully I'll be able to hit up even better locations soon!

I have a similar setup with similar issue. It hasn't moved that much yet, but edge of tailgate to Light is approximately .4", which is much wider than at the bottom where tailgate hinge is.

happy Im not alone. This was before the bed stiffeners

    and after

but it has opened up a lot more....

At this point to change up to a new fender, lighter cap, and new rack setup, and maybe a drawer setup as I wont have the tool boxes in the windoor of the cap I am close to the cost of a flat bed from UTE LTD....

Im going to see how bad the bed gets and kinda go from there. Knowing I can get a complete flatbed with crossbars for like $2500 US plus shipping and what not isn't too crazy considering that the cost of switching my setup will be very close to that and I still have the weak bed. See how she goes.

Some are built with mounting points. Pelfreybilt has them.

    A little a this, a little a that...
I live in CA and don't have a front plate on any of my vehicles. Only once in over 20 years did I get a fix-it ticket. I put the front plate on, had it signed off, paid a $15 fee then took it off again.
