New Challenge: Motion blur of water

One entry per person and due by Sunday at midnight of your local time. Photo must be taken from the time of this post. You don't learn anything if you don't participate. Ready, set.....GOOO!

Just when I'm up in grand rapids for work and decide not to bring my dslr ...what was I thinking!? I'll take the best phone shot you've ever seen.

 

I'm back in the Mn. Arrowhead on the North Shore of Lake Superior grouse hunting again. Have both my cameras but left several hundred dollars of filters at home LOL. Which is OK here to shoot birds mainly. And there is always the night darkness and extended exposure if I was so inclined to blur water motion.

No data or voice where I am much of the time but today had to come down near the Lake to get reception for a conference call I can't really miss. Got data now so day late but here is a picture I took close to sunset last night. Not even close in quality to the much better tree(s) picture posted. More than a mile from the truck wasn't going back to get the camera LOL so used cell phone. Old growth with sun in the tree tops and new clearcut to start the process over again. And my 1949 Ithaca M37 16 ga. purple shell shucker.

Seeing how I am snowed in and not going anyplace for awhile now Cross River Falls before it flows into Lake Superior. Without a filter .3 sec was best I could do so had to find fast moving water. Night didn't work it was way too dark and dangerous.



If I am the only one, and hope I am not, would like to see it go another week so others can try this.

 

I'm going out this weekend bruh.

 

Am I missing the water in there?

 

Don't think I'll get a chance to go out and explore tomorrow, so just took this after work on Friday to try it out!

1/20sec in Pro mode on my Galaxy Note 8- handheld of course. With 10% battery left and my yellow Mirrored Sunglasses as a filter....

.....Yes I have been kicking myself all day for not having brought my camera. I will undoubtedly be up this way for training again in the next few years and won't make the mistake again.
---getting pissy I cant get the white balance quite right......welp isolated the colors and it looks a little better now. still not quite right, but sunglasses for a filter makes for interesting editing.

So milky! Jealous I didn't have a tripod- I would have loved to do something like that.

 

I wanted to find something a little more flowy like yours but that was the closest thing to my house haha
