IMG_1274.jpg I had the idea of putting speakers in the holes for these storage boxes in my 2nd Gen. I don't use the storage boxes currently because of my tool box, and because I bought the truck a year ago and one of the doors for the boxes were missing. I was wondering if anyone on here has done this or has seen it done. I don't have experience with audio stuff, so some advise would be much appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to TW!:thumbsup:Personal research will probably help you out and it has definitely been done but not sure on the Tacoma storage compartments.:notsure:Interesting idea especially if you had a shell.

I've seen people out marine speakers in the front bed pockets. The two just above the wheel wells.

@Cswoods6 I haven't yet, been super busy with work and haven't had time to do it, on the back burner right now.

I would make an enclosure out of the storage bin and put a marine component setup in. Lol

This is pretty much what I was going to suggest. I was thinking of suggesting using MDF to make a box for them but I think it would get wet, warp and just end up nasty.
