Not sure if this is the right spot for this but since I'm looking a getting a 2015 Tacoma DC TRD OF transported I guess it may be ok. Can anyone recommend a good automotive transporter that could ship a Tacoma DC TRD OF from AZ to NC? I don't have the time to fly to AZ and drive it back home with work. Even though the truck is at a Toyota dealer in AZ all the Toyota dealers near me will not deliver it. So, now that I've finally found the Tacoma I want I can't seem to find a way to get her here.

Know anyone NEAR you with free time that you trust? Cost would be airfare one way, then 2300 miles Phoenix to NC, estimate 2-3 nights motel, meals, and guessing $300 for gasoline. Have the AZ dealer pick them up at the airport, plus $ for your driver's time. Probably much cheaper than having a company drive a transport truck (not to mention additional motel/meals and truck fuel both ways).
When I in college, drove for a friend's dealership, Toyota's were in short supply, so dealers would "swap" cars rather than sell to another dealer. Usually shorter trips, but enjoyed it.
Google transport/hired drivers - seems like I've heard of companies that drive cars from the Northeast to Florida for snowbirds. Also google auto driveaway.

Sadly I don't have anyone I would trust, and not sure I would trust anyone driving it that far.

There are multiple reputable transport services.

Google is your friend. You can pay extra for a fully enclosed transport, even.

I know some people who have used transports before and they can cost a decent amount depending on their quality and how it's transported. Obviously the higher end enclosed transporters are pretty expensive. I don't know exact costs but they were over 1g shipping from west coast to NC. I would say any reputable decent transporter can be trusted manufacturers do it all the time. Go into a dealer and ask them if they have any recommendations.

I'm guessing lots of transport services are picking up the easy money down in Houston still. I have a buddy that is trying to get a 4runner from GA to TX and the guy he was talking to just dropped off the face of the earth. Another company wants over $1k for the trip. This is a 2nd gen 4runner and it's not worth $1k to ship it.
    OP,
If you really want it, you're going to have to take the time to go get it and drive it back or pony up the cash to have a transport service move it. based on current pricing, i'd say it's going to be $1300+.

Uship is a way to get several quotes from different carriers

Make sure you have really good insurance or but some supplemental and do not expect, but hope, it will arrive unscathed. There are cases of inbreds shooting at the transports (its better than the arcade!) and vehicles arriving with bullet holes. Don't want to scare you and this is low probability but cover your bases.

This is an extremely low probability. Like less that .1%. Is there a chance of the transporter damaging your vehicle sure but if you go with the right company they have insurance to cover damages on their end.

If you transport it have the dealer take very good pictures showing the condition before they turn it over to the shipper and do not accept it with a proper inspection.

A found a company that has 98% with the BBB and can ship it from AZ to NC in an enclosed trailer for $1,749. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive. Will post pics of her when she comes in and then the mods start.
