Okay, let me fill you in.

I recently just ordered a new set of wheels and tires for my 2017 Tacoma. I ordered them from 4Wheel Parts.com and I thought, hey they are going to mount and balance them, why not throw in new TPMS as well.

I've had them on the truck for just over a week or so and the TPMS is not reading. I've been to about 4 or 5 shops, no one seemed to be able to recalibrate them because the truck is "to new"...or something else. Some wouldn't charge anything but couldn't do it...another wanted to charge $80 but couldn't do it for a while..

Then I made the mistake of saying "Hey, there's a Toyota dealer right next to my work I'll try there" (I know I know...) and they wanted to charge me $330 to recalibrate them...I laughed and politely said I would look elsewhere.

These are Universal Oro-Tek sensors...has anyone else had this much trouble with this or is it just this difficult? I feel like it's not...

Is there any place you guys recommend around Fairfax/Centreville area to help with this?!

You can also buy the tools on Amazon to do it yourself if you're so inclined. One tool reads the code that the tpms is putting out, and another inputs it into the truck. Each ones around $60 IIRC. Could come in handy if you have a winter set of wheels and tires and you're constantly swapping.

Why didn't you just go back to 4wheel parts shouldn't their work be covered?

They shipped them to me, they have tried to help but I'm still left to find some place on my own to do it
