Disabled driver needing help! - left foot accelerator swap

Hey guys,

I'll cut to the point, I severely fractured my ankle, heal and leg this early summer and since I've been able to get up and do things around I was craving to drive my Tacoma. I live in New-Brunswick Canada, and I will be checking with my insurances before any mods. Since, I've been driving with my left foot, kind of tucking in my right (broken) foot close to my seat, behind my driving left foot. This is ok, but gets very uncomfortable after a while. Now, my question is, since my insurances do not pay for a left foot accelerator such as one of these: http://suregrip-hvl.com/leftfoot-accelerators-guards/removable.html, I thought about simply switching my pedal and re-bolting onto the left side of my floor. I think there's only 4 bolts.. what are your opinions?!
