At this time, I am not interested in lift kits, removing mud flaps, or anything else that moderately leaves the realm of OEM.

I have a 2017 TRD Sport Tacoma 4x4 access cab truck and I would like to put the largest rubber under it that will fit without rubbing. It has the 17" (265/65R17) factory wheels now.

Anyone have experience with this? I would imagine that the 265/70 will work fine, but I would like to hear a solid answer from the folks who have been there.

    Thanks in advance....

I don’t get it you know enough about it to say “another tire size thread,” why you’d ask the same question you’ve already read the answers to?

If you don’t want to do anything, not even remove a mud flap, and want to stay “inside the realm of moderately OEM” then don’t do anything. If you want a better tire, get one in the stock size.

Even if it’s possible, I wouldn’t go any bigger if I didn’t plan on cutting or removing anything. Just imagine getting a new set of tires and then realizing they don’t fit. Next thing you know, the person who bought the tires would blame it all on tacomaworld.

Yeah I did (I'm the OP from the thread mentioned earlier), but idk the differences between the suspension on the sport and OR and he definitely has different wheels. To keep listing shit, if he doesn't want to take the flaps off they will almost definitely rub on those at some point.

Couldn't we have some sort of auto response if someone dare type in tire size and stock in the same thread title it reverts them to the said thousands of threads already about this? :D

Oh and to contribute to the thread, 265/70r17 should fit, but might as well just stay stock...

Assuming you stick with your stock wheels. Ive been given conflicting info about going with 265/70/17 with SCS ray 10 wheels that have an offset of -10. Some say they rub, some say they dont. I just daily drive my truck to work. Really dont want to trim or cut any plastic.

Hahahahahahha! I'm stealing this for anytime someone asks about large tires with no lift! I was talking on the phone when I scrolled across this picture and started laughing so hard I couldn't even talk to the person on the other end.
