    Hello,
I am looking for some ideas as to what could be wrong with my FJ. At times it will just completely die. I.E. NO electric nothing, wont turn over, no raidio nothing. I cant quite figure it out, It will just stop while I"m on the free way doing 65. Once vehichle comes to a stop I can put it in park, turn the key over and the truck will start and run again then randomly die. When it's running it runs and idles great.
Any ideas? or questions that I can answer to maybe help figure this darn thing out?

    Thanks,

is there more than the one ground from the battery to body ? The power seems to go out when I brake. The lights will flicker and get dim and then when I accelerate the lights will brighten again. That is if the whole truck does not just die and stop running. When it dies I have to come to a stop. put fj in park, turn the key and start it then drive and then accelerate again. I have power for the starter but nothing else. Can a bad battery cause this?

I would check your battery connection (posts) and make sure your battery is tied down firmly so it doesnt shift around. Also, while your fj is running in the driveway (in park of course) disconnect the battery and see if the alternator continues to run the engine. Lastly, if all that is well....check your fuses. Its something loose or barely connected. It never hurts to add the big three wiring for ground too. Look up big three in the blueroom
