So... If this does not get locked or deleted, this is an honest review of Relentless Fabrication based on my own experience. Here’s how it all went down:

I started my order process on February 6th, ordering the following parts for my first gen:

    1.Front bumper

2.Rear bumper with swing-out tire carrier and dual jerry can holder

    3.Sliders

    4.Front skid

    5.Tailgate reinforcement plate

    6.Brackets for a 42” curved light bar

I ordered from Relentless for 4 primary reasons:

1.They basically sell everything I wanted in one place

2.I had already seen their product in person, and the build quality is top notch

3.One of the reviews I read in this section was positive, with a reply from Eric saying how they were working to reduce production time

4.When I placed my order, they quoted me a lead time of 4 months(I was hoping to have my build done by a certain time to work within theavailability of my painter)

So, I decided to move forward and I placed my order by phone on Feb 6 but I had to call a few more times to make sure it was all correct. This process includeda few emails in between with their receptionist,Brittony. 11 emails in total. Everything with the order was finalized by the 13th.

    Screenshot_20171101-200236.jpg

A few more phone calls and we were good, although at times it was tough to get them on the phone. I then sent them a $1,500 deposit.

During the phone calls, I was told that they would have my order completed and shipped in April. So, I made arrangements to have my truck and parts at my painter’s shop according to that timeframe.

    20170421_122832.jpg

I called during the first week in April to see if the order was going to make it in time. I actually got Eric on the line and he basically laughed at me on the phone (I had spoken with Brittony every other time I had called).I'm not the one that normally bitches about things, but during that 2 minute call I almost cancelled my order. But, I thought I'm already 4 months in, so how much longer can it take? Well, in May I would have my answers. I got to meet Eric in person at the Relentless Fab booth during the 2017 Overland Expo in Flagstaff, AZ.

    20170513_142713.jpg

Eric was busy the first day there on Friday, but I talked to one of the guys helping him out with a White Tacoma that was all done up (good looking tuck). I was there for the weekend and I figured I wouldeventually catch up with Eric during the show at some point. So, I finally got to talk to Eric on Saturday and all I can say is what I dismissive prick full of excuses. I asked him what’s the status with the delay, and that’swhen he informed me he ran a promotion around Thanksgiving last year and it put him months behind. Wouldn’t it have been a good idea to give your waiting customers a heads-up on the new timeline? Just common courtesy. Anyways, as he was talking to me it seemed like all he wanted to do was something else. I don’t think I was being combative or aggressive in any way, but he wasn’t being engaging at all. That’s not a professional way to treat a paying customer. Maybe some people are just not good at working with people in person – Iget that... but as I was reaching for my wallet to buy a Hi-Lift large foot pad, he walked away from me. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed. Fortunately, @Seabass , @BattleStatic was there with me and overheard the entire conversation for verification.

With my money in Eric’s hands and my order becoming increasingly overdue, I did not have good feelings about the rest of my order for months. This was not only because of my in-person experience at the expo, but also because I missed the ability to havemy painterfinish my truck during one of the only timeslots that he had available (he’s a very sought-after local painter that I have used in the past to paint other custom cars of mine) and I knew it would bemonths before I could get another appointment with him.

Well, finally my parts came in on September 10th, 4 months behind schedule.

    20170914_122943.jpg

To top it off after all of the delays and piss-poor customer service, I was missing parts when my order finally arrived. One item I was missing is large and hard to miss - the dual jerry can holder. Relentless did take care of this within about 2 weeks from the time they knew of the problem to the time when I had it in hand. But the final thing that sent me over the edgewas 2 bolts... Yes, 2 bolts. I bought his bumper and his skid plate and it needed some 10mmx1.25x90 bolts. I brought this up to him on this forum and this was his reply, and keep in mind this is after he told me he packed them himself and the could not be wrong:

    Screenshot_20171101-204424.jpg

    Screenshot_20171101-204037.jpg

After 8 months (including 4 months of delay) and missing parts, it came down to a “sorry about that” over the bolts and no word on anything else. The product is solid, they look good, and the welds are great. It’s an awesome product. The only problem I had was with Eric. He is a fantastic welder and fabricator, but he is a terrible businessman. So if you order parts from him, don't think that you’re buying from a shop that cares. You’re not.

Correct. You are not buying from a store, you are buying from a small (very small) fabrication shop that has 4 guys and a receptionist. Shit happens, especially when you order that many products and they all have to be made to order. 4 months behind schedule is pretty bad, and they should have realized that a big Black Friday sale was going to push their regular orders off by a good amount of time. You ended up with everything you wanted, and it all meets your expectations as far as quality, correct?

Man. Was literally talking about this post when it disappeared.

I know it may be considered a small shop but fab times should be more accurate. Especially if he’s saying it’s 4 months as of February and he’s already behind from a sale in November. Man, my buddy’s shop is a one man show, throws TW sales and GBs often, and still keeps his lead times on point.

Also, question for OP, did you buy your items during a sale? Sounded like you spent a few pennies on that order.

    Check Build thread
Subd to see OPs first post.

I ordered the relentless rear WIY almost 2 years ago and mine took 11 weeks to get to my door step when estimated 8. No it’s not as bad as this 4 month deal but I wasn’t even notified. The bumper pieces fit really rough. Probably cause I didn’t have a jig to to it. Also when I reached out to them about some questions reguarding the bumper I wasn’t answered in a timely manor and also wasn’t thourough at all.

Besides the point, they make some of the best looking rear bumpers on the market at the time and i knew what I was getting into.

If they expanded a bit(hired some new fab guys/welders) I think they could start turning there reputation around. The reviews etc have only gotten worse since I did business with them...

    carry on

I purchased a set of sliders during their July 4th sale and picked them up late September. I also had issues contacting them through phone and became a little worried as the time came closer. Eventually when I stopped by their shop to pick up my order I saw that it's just a couple of people working hard trying to push out orders. It's easy to expect grade A service all the time because it has become the standard for large companies, but it's hard for small shops to meet the demand for custom armor. You can't just make tens of bumpers, racks, and sliders for different models or generations and have them sit in a warehouse. They would have to rent a larger facility and hope that they sell everything to make a profit. They had the cheapest price I could find near California that was a shop.

I ordered some quick fist mounts and got them quickly. Sooner then expected actually. Was very happy, quality product came with grade 8 hardware for such a small item. Would buy from them again.

I would be upset if my order was 4 months overdue as well.. But, It's hard to judge want transpired when I cant read any of the e-mails. I do see there were a lot of 4-5 second phone calls made etc..? I'm glad you finally got your products however... It’s all about customer service! If a company or business gives me a hard time, I won’t spend another dime of my hard earned money...
