Last year when the group buy was going on for the OME lifts. I purchased the heavy kit OMETAC04HKS for my 2003 Tacoma. I had intentions of adding a winch mount and. I was told that the 881's would be enough for the winch and keep the truck with a slight rake. Long story short i just installed about a 2 months ago. No winch on as of yet and the rear has not settled any but the front has settled over 1". I am right I am actually almost back to the height it was before the lift. I spoke with Low range and they need some pics of the springs but i away right now and wont be home for a few weeks. I don't want to remove a leaf because it wont help on the tires rubbing and i do intend on installing a rear pipe bumper. As of now there is no way to add a winch to the setup. Any suggestions other than possibly upgrading to 882's or an adjustable shock. Really hate to spend more after buying the whole kit. And dont harp on the colors. Its a Christmas theme.

Rear looks fine, I would get the front end up to match. That's odd that the 881 coils settled that much with no extra weight up front. I would go with the 882 coils, possibly the vendor will swap them out for you? Or just buy a set, I think they're only $160 or something like that.

Lowrange has been really great with trying to find a solution. We will probably be doing something when i get in from offshore. Would 883's be too much. Thinking of going ahead with a complete plate bumper on the front with winch.

Yeah 883 would probably work well with that setup. I went with 882 with a similar setup because I wanted the softer springs, even though they settled back to the same height as the 883 after a while.

Honestly OME coils settle a lot, so plan for that.

881s are not meant for added weight, someone misinformed you. 880s, 881s and 882s are rated at 500lbs which isn't much of a difference from the stock coil rating. 883s are rated at 590lbs, you want those if you want to add more weight up front. If you put a winch and bumper on the 881s they will settle even more.

I had the 881s on my 4x4 v6 and I only got about an inch of lift out of them, with no added weight in front. I ended up having to set my 5100s to the first notch setting to lift up the front a little more because I had a lot of rake as well. In hindsight, I wished I had gone with 883s but I ended up ditching the whole setup for Kings w/600lb coils recently because I want to add a bumper/winch/skids in the future.

(edited to correct a couple things)

Doesn't sound right. I put in a full OME suspension with 881s as well. Did not install the AAL. I had fairly even amount of lift all around. After 1000 miles it was about 2.25" over stock.

4x4, V6, Ext cab with a topper and 31x10.5 All Terrains.

Here is what my truck looked like two days after the install:

    upload_2017-11-2_20-1-29.jpg

Here are the measurements after 1000 miles on the suspension (center of hub to bottom of fender flare). Empty bed, topper on:

    Driver Front: 22 3/4"
    Driver Rear: 24"
    Passenger Front: 22 7/8"
    Passenger Rear: 24"

Look, all you need is a turbo charger. Every time you launch you'll shift the weight to the rear and it will even out.

kidding aside yeah that does look off. Can you ask them to setup another front set and ship it out to you?

Did you take before and after measurements? If they have sagged to outside of ARB's allowed range they will warranty them.

mine have barely settled at all in the front, heck I want more rake as I swear they are stiffer than 881s. I just haven't had time to swap in the 880s for testing. I should have done more research and got the AAL kit at the start cause I usually have the cap or tonneau and some junk in the bed

this was mine after 5500 miles
