    Why not?
Intake manifold gaskets and bolt patterns look the same on both engines. The block is also identical between the two. Power steering pump is in the same location too so serpentine belt routing should be no problem.

I think it's probable that the spacing is very close between the two, so it would be very possible to make it work by replacing the flange. I considered this a few months ago.

But if I were doing any fabrication work, I'd just make an intake and install a M62 from a Cobalt or M90 from a 3800 (same SC on the 3RZ TRD Kit).
LCE was kind enough to provide us with measurements

Ahh, it is flipped upside down pretty much. Thanks

Edit: not just flipped I guess the patterns are slightly different too. Damnit

Yes I've seen these measurements that's how I came up with the idea of bolting this guy onto the 2trfe because it "fits" except for the flange I guess... the unit in the pics is an Eaton M62 by the way which is a better fit for the 2.7 because it requires less HP to be driven. They use the M90 charger on the larger 4.0 which can handle more parasitic loss

    Chinese 2trfe from Hilux Vigo:

This version seems to use an 8 port head which should flow a little better than a 4 port head. This bolt pattern seems to be exactly the same this time as the 1995-1999 8 port heads on the 2/3RZ so the TRD supercharger should bolt onto it:

How does this compare to URD's supercharger?

Think of the URD supercharger as a belt driven turbo, intercooler, blow off valve and everything. The Eaton unit from TRD for the older 2.7 is a positive displacement roots style charger that sits post throttle body and practically makes it act like a bigger engine with more low end grunt right off idle which is why I like it better

This said, I don't know if you could bolt the Chinese 8 port head on without any other modifications. Here are some pics to illustrate my thoughts. My engine bay:

    3RZ with TRD charger:

As you can see the space is there, easily.
Reportedly, the timing cover on the 2trfe is a little thicker so the supercharger pulley would not immediately line up with the serpentine belt but it's not far off, ~1" so a pulley spacer should do the trick - if it's even needed.

So far in my research these are the only obstacles to using this kit on the 2trfe

sub'd and if this turns out well, I'll do one for my truck! Let me know what you did to overcome all the obstacles and I'll buy one asap.

Well went online to chat with LCE and their online tech "support" guy named Chris was a colossal jerk... was gonna ask if he could sell me just a few parts because I don't need their whole kit but no dice... didn't even get that far explaining myself before he told me sarcastically that I should let URD know I figured out a superior way to boost this engine... hope his day gets better... Anyway does anybody know who makes these kits for them? I think the original company Alpine isn't in business anymore

Just a warning this will absolutely require custom tuning. The tune supplied in the kit will not work (neither hardware nor software) with the newer vvti head and you're gonna have to find some custom smaller solutions for your airbox to intake piping for example. That also shouldn't be a big deal but not exactly bolt on and wouldn't be legal here in CA either... not that I care, I'm already illegal with my LCE header

Probably be better off having an adapter made vs putting another head and intake manifold on the truck

No, the supercharger replaces the intake manifold dude. And used heads are cheap plus I kinda wanted to delete the balance shaft and upgrade the head studs for boost... But yeah I'm trying to source a flange for the 2tr so I can cut off the one from the charger and weld it into place. Waiting for measurements from @MrCrowntown because he has a sweet custom one I want to copy
