Hello all, I’m no longer focused on building my Truck as I’m going to school to be an auto tech. Once I get a stable job in that field (possibly for toyota) I’ll get back into it. One day I’d like to make this bad boy a long travel beast, but for now it’s my daily driver and will be treated as such (though it still sees trails once a week).

One suggestion would be to get a Color Matched Grill as that to me looks so out of place the way it is on the truck now. I would take the badges off and put some Color Matched Mirrors on it

Thanks for the suggestion, it does look kinda weird but I can afford plasti dip and not replacement parts right now

subbed. I'm a youngster like you, too (19). although this is my 2nd truck. maybe I should start a build thread of my own.

 

oh, and another thing: swapping out your rims imo is one of the first mods you should do when it comes to changing the look of your truck. I got some black steelies on my taco a couple months ago, and it drastically changed the look.

I actually ended up regretting getting them and wish I went aluminum instead. this is because my rims don't clear my calipers and I have to run spacers. go aluminum if you can, they will be more expensive but I think it'll save you a headache.

 

Changed the shift knob

 

Painted skid plate black, and changed the toyota logo to white.

I have to agree with Rick on this one. A full depth color matched Satoshi would be ideal however even a color matched factory grill would go along way to support the “stormtrooper” look and easier on your wallet.

you should do the BHLM. it'll look better with that black grill.

 

I think I’m going to buy some black headlights that already have halos and just put my stock bulbs in them. Then get a color matched grill.

 

not a bad idea. I've heard the aftermarket headlights aren't sealed that well and easily get moisture in them, though.

 

I’m probably gonna apply some silicone just in case.
