I use both wood and coal in that. I use coal after I wrap the meat for a little cost savings. I check the smoking thread out. I just can’t keep up with everyone on that thread.

Well I used Amsoil HDMP on my underbody/frame for the upcoming winter. Used 3 cans of it for the underneath . Sunday I gave the underbody a sponge bath and a good scrubbing then took it through a car wash with underbody sprayer and today I sprayed it with the amsoil HDMP . So far I like the stuff although I have nothing to compare it too . I tried to get all I could with coverage under the truck

Just one word of caution to anyone going to do this , wear old clothes with long sleeves . Don’t wear a good tank top and shorts like I did lol . This stuff is hard to get off afterwards

ok guys, need some experience and advice. after this past weekends wheeling trip at AOAA, I have developed a good whine/squeal when the engine is running. 2009 4.0 37k miles. it wasn't doing it for the entire weekend. right at the end of the day on sunday, we went through a decent pool of water. it came up about 4 inches higher than the bottom seal of the doors. roughly covered the front bumper. I dont think any of the accessories on the serpentine belt are bad, i.e. PS pump, ALT, water pump. I sprayed the engine tonight with a garden hose and hot water while I was at work. I'm not sure if it helped or not. It was dark and I was using my phone flashlight. but I did spray the pulleys I could get to for a decent amount of time. pretty good pressure out of the hose as well. @bski22 mentioned he had the same issue. he changed the belt and it went away. Looks like I need to do the same?

I will probably take the belt off this weekend, run the truck, and see if that makes it go away. At least then I can narrow it down some. With the belt off, I can spin each pulley by hand and feel for any grit or roughness. I should be able to hear and definitely feel it if there is in fact some sand/dirt/mud caught up in there. If there is, hopefully it's one of those idler pulleys or the tensioner.

Anyone else have any better ideas?

I will try it! Thanks. I kind of doubt it, given the amount of hot water I sprayed. I sprayed it while it was off and then while it was running

Put my apples on the pulleys needing a bit of cleaning and a belt change. So much funk floating in that water

Good luck with that. I'm doing some online shopping.

    It's like 30, that's not cold.

I spent three years there, I know what you mean.
