Video Games BS

From what I heard I was expecting Assassin's Creed to suck as a movie but I really enjoyed it.

 

I bought it on dvd, and in this world of .99 cent digital rentals and netflix, I'm glad I did. It was very good, and if you follow the stories, it actually does tie in to the games. But not overly obvious, so as not to confuse the movie goer who never played any games.

 

So I was watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and as soon as I saw Chop Top I felt as if I've seen his character before in a game. Anybody recognize him. Maybe I'm confused but I could have swore I've seen his likeness somewhere outside of that movie.

 

Just found out the Wii Shop Channel is closing down soon. I probably spent about $350 buying Virtual Console and WiiWare games since getting the Wii back in November 2007.

I got another Wii that my friend modified with the Homebrew Channel and from quick Google searches it looks like the WiiWare library is already archived and can be played on modified Wii consoles.

 

Im on RE7 tonight (pretty much only been on Saturday nights) and I made it to the ship. Im over here like WTF.

 

Pre ordered Assassin's Creed: Origins this morning. With the few games I'm looking forward to next year I really need a good one to keep me occupied until then. Hoping it fills the winter void.

 

I pre-ordered AC: Origins and Red Dead Redemption I think. Or maybe just Origins. I usually Pre-Order AC for the extra DLC

 

I'm really enjoying AC:Origins. Spent maybe 30+ hours this weekend playing and don't have any complaints. Graphics are awesome as well as the story. If only I didn't have to work. I would play all day.

Video game BS? Half Life 3

 

I haven't played Half Life but my brother had the Orange Box so I did sample Team Fortress 2. It was fun but way too fast paced for my liking.

 

Horizon Zero Dawn for the PS4 is awesome, sunk 43 hours in 2 weeks. Combat, story and graphics are well done. Im up to the last mission then have a bunch of collectibles and trophies to mop up.

 

Only one of two games I've platinum'd. Thoroughly enjoyed it, just need to get the DLC now. I also used it as an excuse to upgrade to a PS4 Pro and a 4K TV.

 

I picked up the Complete Edition which includes Frozen Wilds so I'll play that once I mop up collectibles. I have the Pro but no 4K TV yet, gonna pick up TCL P Series when it drops into $500 range. Then replay the game in new game+ and enjoy the game in 4K HDR.

 

I started Horizon: Zero Dawn... just didn't tickly my fancy. It bothered me that you can't just go anywhere like you can in BotW.

 

Hopefully this will be the last date change.

You might be optimistic. Considering GTA V came out on 360/PS3, then XB1/PS4, then finally PC 15-16 months after original release. RDR2 may follow the same trend...
