Yeap, that's definitely fucksoup. Glad you got out.

Time to upgrade to @Mobtown Offroad skids.

Also may want to change the thread title to was stuck so people don't jump in here trying to rescue.

    :D

Interesting... wouldn't have been my first instinct to post a help request here, but now I know it could be an option in the future... (Updated the title after considering this, thanks)

Yea there have been quite the number of rescues that have happened on this site. From being stuck on the trail to help changing wheel studs on side of highway in middle of no where. Lots of folks on here willing to help at the drop of a hat.

    Sweet!

Yeeap! The community here is quite active and generally very eager to assist, plus everyone likes to be the guy who pulls out another guy.

    Wait...

    That came out wrong...:bananadead:

I've actually seen a few people make stuck or broke down posts and generally another member is there in an hour or so.

There was one guy WAY out in the sticks out west somewheres who didn't get assistance till morning but I do believe a member came and picked him up and took him back to civilization where he could get the parts to fix his rig on the trail.

I remember the wheel studs thread, that was one of the stories I had in mind.

The people here make me proud to have a TW sticker on my rig, and a shout out to the mods @jhodge83 @tcBob @jberry813 and the rest I can't think of right now for keeping the site clean and generally promoting a good community. Thanks guys! :amen:

First rule of TW is never underestimate TW.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/another-spindle-failure-backcountry-dv.473931/

    Much awsomeness occurs here.

Actually, first rule is probably introduce yourself before posting - I'll look into it.

Oh wow, @kaosonline I just noticed you are super new, only got 7 posts, well welcome to TW buddy!

I dunno what's out there for 4Runners, but I know this site has been a black hole for my wallet. Hopefully yours doesn't get caught in the gravity well. It does look like you need better skid plates, and might as well get rock sliders, then bumpers, a lift of course, bigger tires, then a SC to get the power back...

Yeah, it's a rabbit hole... :goingcrazy:

Yup, was recently introduced to TW from Texoma over on the 4Runner Forum. I was looking for ppl who may do some off-roading in the South Jersey, Delaware, Philly area...
Everyone's been really helpful in both forums, but you guys seem to have more 'off-roading' activity for sure! Love it!

I picked up my 4R in April this year. Already put 16,000+ miles on 'er... I also R2 the front bumper, added sliders, 3" lift, 285's, skid plates, etc, etc... So yeah, I have at least 1 foot in the rabbit hole for sure! :D
