Why do I get the thought that this is running through their mind as they reply with "cute" and look for the door?

Last year I stopped at this point with the On30 layout.

Decided I didn't like it so dismantled a fairly large portion of it yesterday and going for a new design.
Currently back to flat, there will be no tunnels or bridges but there will be a small amount of terrain elevation here and there.
This new design will allow a much longer reverse track, which (the shorter version) was causing issues on the original design.

We demand mountains and lotsa of tunnels, how else are you going to incorporate the skipping off into the clouds scene?

Yeah I am still convincing the wife to let me get the N gauge stuff from my parents and start setting up a room. She has concerns. LOL!

A Colorado member was on the Georgetown loop earlier today and this happened to a car 3 behind them.

So got the full story. This was right as they left the bottom station on the way to the top. Engine is at the bottom pushing backwards. That was one of the small cars leading the backwards push. Probably hit some snow buildup and derailed. It did have people in it. Apparently only minor injuries.
