What sort of issues did you have with the metra? I used that kit with my Sony and thought it looked pretty good. Was it the fit to the dash or the fit of the radio into the metra kit?

CORRECTION: looks like my kit is the Scosche. I originally had the metra, and ya... fit around the head unit was fiddly and the hazard button tended to stick.

The blue visor is something i made to help reduce glare on the screen

I have the textured metra and I think it matches stock pretty good. The fit of the radio is the biggest prob. There is a 1/16" gap on the top or bottom of the radio depending how I attach the brackets. The fit of the kit into the dash is pretty good except I have an issue with the hazard light button sticking.

Not huge deals but I was hoping for a little better.

Previously I had an Atoto A6 unit and the fit was awesome (the radio stunk though).

Thanks Key-Rei I may have to try that one. Are there any other options?

There are, but I have no experience with them, I actually took my Scorshe and prior metra kit sanded them and repainted them matte black to match the other trim parts I've redone. They were too glossy/ didn't like the texture.

I don't have a picture on me right now but I pulled a few pieces of trim and blacked them out with the same stuff to match my leather wrapped door handles, arm rests, and center console lid rest.

Look on Amazon for 05-11 Tacoma Dash kit and read the reviews.

If you find a really good one let us know!
