No, 888's are the same spring rate as 887's, they are not a heavy spring and they are definitely not meant to be preloaded.

886's are what you seek if you have weight up front (i.e bumpers, winch, etc).

Has anyone needed new UCA's for alignment with 5100s? Are new UCAs neccassry to get alingment into specs with a 2-2.5" lift?

I didn’t. Some people will say you do, but mine rides fine without them. Maybe one day I’ll get them, but I’m not worried. I have 0 toe and 0 camber.

I did 887’s with a 3/4 spacer on the driver side and a 1/2” spacer on passenger for a full 3” to level out with dakars in the rear. alignment is within spec. Some day ill splurge and get a set of camburgs, maybe try for another inch some how.

    Stock for now.
I got SPC UCA's in preparation for 285 tires. I just don't know if I'm going to need spacers as well.

Bilstein 5100s set at 0 with 887s and a Deaver AAL. Perfect setup and stance for me. Rides as good as, if not better than, stock.

Yes, 285/75/16s. Running factory UCAs with no issues so far and alignment is on point. I did the CMC and had to do some very minor trimming due to rubbing while turning/flexing. Now it's perfect with no rub whatsoever.

Did you have to do the cmc though? Or was it just a precaution?

I did it as a precaution a few weeks before I installed the lift just to be safe.

I finally joined the 5100/887 & AAL club.
The vendor I bought from shipped the Billies assembled on the 2nd clip setting. This initially upset me but has since grown on me. On even terrain the truck is leveled with slight rake (what I wanted). I’ve driven about 100 miles this weekend and the ride is definitely an improvement over stock.
