@diabetik81 Eric grad you're okay health wise and it's nothing major.

@sente3 Mike you know I'm right down the road and will help. Have plenty of tools, jack and jack stands. Let me know when.

I started spraying everything today, and will continue to do so until the parts get in. I've learned from the past when I didn't, and the difference can be significant. I recently picked up a MAPP torch, so I am hoping that helps if I need it (I assume I will). I also have a 1/2" electric impact now and a breaker bar. I have a wonder bar, but no larger ones that I know of. There are also a decent array of miscellaneous tools in the garage here in case I don't have something. Often times, there is something here. A few ratcheting wrenches here, but a spotty mix of sizes. Hopefully I have what I need or can do without. I do have a large and small jack as well as large and small stands. Should be good there. Between what I have and what is here, I should be okay. But I wouldn't be surprised if there is still something I am missing. @Subway4X4 @Toy4me I will let either of you know if there is something I need.

I am not installing UCAs, so hopefully that puts less problems in my way.

I hadn't thought about bolts. I don't even know what sizes anything is down there, but I suppose I'll find out. This will surely take a few days, so I will pick up bolts when I need them so I know what sizes to get.

@Subway4X4 Those bolts are for the UCA itself, ya? Shouldn't need them, but thank you.

@cynicalrider Yeah it's gonna be mostly solo. Probably get a little help from friends or maybe my father a little. Whoever is free and willing. But I am the "best" out of most of my friends at this stuff. I'll probably be doing the majority.

@Hawk373 I'll definitely check that video out. Any tutorials are always appreciated.

Thanks all, very much. I'm sure I will hate every minute of the entire process, like every other job on this truck. So I expect only bad results, but as long as I can get it done, it's worth it. Hopefully the weather holds out with some mid/upper 40s and little wind.

Lemme know when you're gonna do this. I might be able to help a little. Or bring a tool or something that you might need.

You definitely won't get any kind of expertise from me. But you'll get a willing helping hand.

Fronts are easy solo but rear can be a bitch. Def easier with two people at least.

I figured the front's would be easier. Part of why I think I'll do it after the rear. Be a bit of a reprieve...relatively.

You might need to cut off the nuts on top of the coil bucket in the front so have an angle grinder handy (might need it in the rear too), fronts were actually harder for me but I didnt replace the whole leaf pack. If you're putting in coilovers you won't need a spring compressor. Are you doing upper control arms?

Mike @sente3 - everything is gonna be frozen like a muthafcker.

My 2nd gen is 13 years old. I have been cursing at the undercarriage for the past 2 years.

Bolt and screw extraction doodads are a must.

I am in need of a new cutoff disk, but angle grinder is on hand. Dremel too, if it came down to it. Nah, no UCAs. Weren't in the budget, unfortunately. The parts I am doing weren't really in the budget lol

I've had to deal with broken bolts (during both removal and installation) a few times. You'd think I'd have invested in some of that shit by now. But nah. Though I think my dad has a bunch available to him, but I will definitely let you know if I need anything.

Oh. Is there anything I should know about extending the brake line? I know I gotta use a flare nut wrench for that, but is there anything else I should know? Tbh I don't even know where I am extending from nor to. I figure it will be obvious once I look at it.

I don't think there are any surprises there, but I still haven't installed mine yet, its been sitting on my dresser  hopefully the nuts aren't too seized up

Took me many attempts over several weeks to break loose my frozen flare nuts. With lots of daily Kroil applications.

I used my flare nut wrenches, Jimmy's flare nut wrenches and special nut busting vice grips.

@HolyHandGrenade finally broke 'em loose with sheer gorilla-like strength.

I don't know the answer to that.

I didn't use heat. Too chicken to apply heat in that area.

^^^ I wouldn't feel comfortable applying heat to any lines. Obviously not fuel, but even brakes.
