Alternator Upgrade

Has anyone tried to replace the alternator on a 2.7 second gen Tacoma? Is there a possibility a
CS130 alternator would fit, using the C120 plug? This would provide a 140amp alternator to power electrical add on's.

 

Not sure what you are running that would require the extra output....usually the battery is more than sufficient of adding juice for a couple of minutes if needed be...

I mean, if ya need it you mine as well try though. Let us know how it goes.

 

Subbed, I run a HO alternator on my jeep and it helps when winching heavy loads

 

this guy is vendor here on the site and has ho alternators for the 4.0 and 2.7. I was going to get a 200a alternator from him when my last one went out, but time constraints shot it down. needed a replacement now.
