I have spots from a cherry tree I didn’t realize I was under it till it was to late! It’s all most like a sap type of substance. I’ll try Gas an I have a hand cleaner close to go jo I’ll try them in the morning. Any other ideas for sap?

Gas did work some. It got maybe 45% of the sap off. I’ll try alcohol tomorrow. Thanks

You might want to try one of the dedicated "bug remover" products like Poor Boy's Bug Squash to get the Love Bug remains off. Also, try to use whatever product you select in the shade or at least where it's not a thousand degrees.

As for which polish to use so as not to remove the clear coat, that's a more complicated answer. It's not just the polish one has to look at. There's also the pad one uses, the speed at which the pad is driven and the amount of pressure one applies to it. My general advice is always to go with the least aggressive pad, product and technique first. If that doesn't work, slowly work your way up the aggressiveness scale. BTW, a very good all around (and not very aggressive) polish that one can get at many auto parts stores that might just do the trick is Meguiar's M205.

Are you wanting a polish or wax? 2 completely different types of products.
