Just curious if the coils in the
Performance Bilstein Kit (HS16BK-2) will hold the weight of a front bumper?

Now all springs, whether it is a coil spring in the front or leaf spring in the back are directly affected by weight. So it all comes down to how much weight is being added. The lift spec'd out for the different notch settings are based on the that trim of truck with stock weight so you will see less lift from the 6112's then what they spec out at if you add in front weight.

Since the 6112’s are a strut and lift coil combination with a coil supplied from Bilstein, coil changes are harder with this type of suspension. The shocks themselves are not fully adjustable so it would be hard to say how much lift each notch setting would provide, how stiff the ride would be with the coil change on the various notch settings, how the coil change would affect the cycling of the shock and/or if you would run into any potential coil bind issues. Since these are variable that we cannot account for and have not tested for we do not recommend coil changes with the 6112’s.

Please let me know if there is anything else that I can assist you with.

    Thank you so much.

Thanks Marie!! It looks like I'll end up with the ARB nitros. They offer more of an option with coil selection for the added weight.
