_MG_0071-1.jpg Bought this '97 new. It's a 4 cyl. 3RZ-FE. Now has about 135,000 miles. I leave oil changes and all maintenance to my trusted mechanics. The good thing about the topper is that it's light enough for me to take on and off as needed. Keeps my gear dry on my SW trips. Otherwise, at home, I take it off and haul firewood, home construction materials, etc.
I have been thinking hard the last few months about how I can upgrade to a vehicle just as dependable and gas efficient, but more camping friendly? I mean more convenient to sleep in? Didn't come up with anything. I am keeping this one. Ready for any modifications. One thing I have been wanting is a wench as I have found myself in near emergency situations on Colorado mountain passes. Both original bumpers showing some abuse, anyway.
Any suggestions for modifications would be appreciated. Thing is, I still travel 700-800 highway miles to get to a camping destination. Whad'yall think?

Welcome! Nice looking early first gen! I built a sleeping platform in mine and use a thermarest dreamtime sleeping pad for the back. Makes things nice and comfy for camping in the truck
