In the DC Metro area, any wave is probably seen as aggressive driving or road rage. But I do see plenty of middle finger waves among vehicles...

I used to have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler in college and it was awesome but one of the cool things about it was the friendliness of other Wrangler owners. We would wave or talk about each others Jeeps if we were in a parking lot somewhere. Why don't Tacoma owners do the same? We should start a trend. We should just start waiving at every Tacoma we pass and see if it catches on

I wave at modified Tacomas. Too many stock tacomas in SD to wave at everyone.

From the other threads, the punchline is that jeeps are more readily advertised for their off-road option/band wagon club to be in an aggressive vehicle. Because of this, many jeepers seek out others and give the needed props when that happens.

For tacomas, I think there is a big chunk of the older folks who simply bought a taco to be a reliable commuter. Doesn't mean they cant achieve this in an off-road set up, but there are many contractors and long time Toyota drivers who simply have a Taco. I think the obvious off-roading tacos will give their props, but the common Mexican dude rolling in a taco to a job site might not even notice another one on the road.

Long story short, Tacos are too generic in their functionality to the common driver causing seldom acknowledgement unless modified to a degree.

Because in Hawaii Tacoma is every other vehicle on the road.

Because Geep owners need to be very friendly as they never know when their rig will suffer a major breakdown requiring assistance, where Taco owners just keep on trucking on.

That said I'm all for the waving or being friendly

    Cheers!
