So i just recently put a U bolt flip kit.i took the old u bolt perch off. Under it after years i guess it rubbed off the paint. So i wanna get it sanded down and covered so it dosent rust my axel. I was gonna do a smooth bed liner in just the section that is bare metal. What should i do?

I would just scuff it, clean it really well, and use some rattle can chassis paint.

Rustoleum contractor/proffessional matte black enamel is what I use for touch ups, when I rebuild stuff that's going to be appart for a while I'll strip it, etch it, prime it, and use POR-15.

The Rustoleum holds up pretty damn good though, easy to match and UV stable. Most of my frame, my sliders, and a few other odds and ends are coated in it. Lay it on thick.

I've also had very good luck with their bedliner in a can stuff, it kinda has a crinkle texture to it. I wouldn't use it as a true bed liner but as a paint it holds up well it just has a gloss sheen from the polyurathane in it. It goes fast though so it is a more expensive option.

Duplicolor wheel paint is good stuff. It dries fast and holds up very well. The satin black would look good.

Actually your axle isn't even visible, and it's safe in a lubricated environment. :D

But seriously, paint the axle housing with whatever durable product you have readily available. BBQ grill paint even works.

It's not like you are rolling a Riddler entry here, right?

Read it, yes. Speak it, no. You bring enough retard to this forum all on your own. Good job! :)

All kidding aside, thread jack! I'll be in Hawaii in January. It's been 21 years since I was last there. Saw the touristy crap on Oahu last time. Any recommendations for cool stuff to do? Staying on Maui, but planning on island hopping...no surfing this time around though.
