White DC LB OR come to daddy.. Does anyone know how difficult (and if possible) to switch out that orange ring around the dash?? "Building" the DC LB OR on Toyota's site shows the orange ring around the dash on the interior pictures.

Which seats were you picking? I think you can choose the graphite interior and it will not have the orange trim. The black seats with orange stitching will have the orange ring. I'm not sure what the options are with the new leather.

Why would you want to have that orange ring on the dashboard
So ugly and distracting. I don't get it.

I picked the "Premium Package" because I want the JBL system etc.. "This package is only available with the following interior color." Which is the leather trimmed seats. I don't see any orange stitching on those seats but I DO see an ugly orange trim ring!

Exactly! I DON'T want it!! I'm guessing that trim ring just pops off, hoping someone who has knowledge can chime in here.

Right but not as per the "configurator" on Toyota's site:

Once you chose the "Premium Package (Double Cab)" a pop-up appears: This package is only available with the following interior color. Which is the leather trimmed seats.

But who knows.. Maybe I can order it without the ring or with the fabric seats.

The thing about the "configurator", is that it only shows what's available in your area. Try different zip codes.

Just checked it out. Im in northern new England. you can get the MT

    pic%201_zpsp9uocgcv_e10827193f6db7bd6f8b9ebf53e2fa8fe038fb1c.jpg

But for some reason, only one color option and no packages on the pro.

Also, building my current truck forces you to add the 700 buck tech package for Quicksand. Very strange, wondering if they have bugs to iron out still.

Ok, crisis over. After some research, worst case I can purchase a "Black Interior Instrument Cluster Bezel Set" to replace the horrible Orange one.

Its area dependent. What are you trying to build in quicksand without the tech package? I can see if its available in my area.

I had both 4.0L and the 3.5L, seriously prefer the 3.5L, it's the transmission that sucks with the new tacoma, the 3.5L is perfect for this truck

You can just pull off the orange bezels. Its a bunch of red clips that lock it in.
