Maybe, but here in California it is. Gotta check the cc&r's.

Since when in the hell is ABS worse on your tires then them being locked up and dragged?

ABS doesn't lock your wheels, you can't get flat spots from ABS. You can however from dragging a locked wheel.

The truck wasn't drug that far to where I would really be that concerned, but if you have vibrations when driving then I would get them road forced balanced and that will tell you if they have flat spots or not.

    Like, so many.
Your tires should be fine. I was an accident where I spun in circles a couple times and the skid marks were substantial. I had the tires checked and they were just fine. They are tougher than you think.

update: took the truck in this morning for my 10k service. thankfully the service manager tossed in a courtesy check with the brakes. they inspected and cleaned my front and rear brakes and checked the parking pawl. told me everything looks good.

Thank you to everyone who actually posted a useful response.

also while i was there i peaked under a 2017 off road and they do appear to have a shim under the rear leaf pack. asked the service manager and the guy at the parts counter and they have no idea. the parts guy even pulled up the specs and there isnt a documented shim there. any idea the degree of the shim??

I had this happen with my fiances Jetta at our complex. I asked how they towed it. Most companies with experience will say they use floor jacks/dolleys which suspends the 4 wheels so there is no drivetrain damage. Looks like the OP's case they just dragged his poor truck out the spot with nothing...

I've seen tow companies us a large wooden wedge under each tire to get a car out of a spot so that they can easily put on the dollies. It was really low strain on the driveline and they only pulled the cars barely out of the spot. What that complex did was extreme in every sense.

I’d become their biggest stinking renter in the whole complex- posting fliers explaining renters rights and deposit return laws at each door, starting a monthly renters meeting in the managers office, looking for every code enforcement violation in the place and reporting them, etc. yup - did it to mine until they relented and let me keep two cars parked there :).

Those are homemade skates, also old hubcaps under the tires work. Can slide it around like it's nothing.or buy some real skates.
