Hey guys, I just got a Tacoma last week and noticed a chip and a scratch this morning (courtesy of our neighborhood lawn care). I used the Meguiar Scratch X and it helped somewhat. Any idea on how to remedy this issue? Dr. Colorchip? OEM touch-up paint? Really frustrated right now and could use some advice. Thanks

If you go offroading the scratch will be buried by other scratches and you won't even notice it anymore. Sucks, but it happens to all of us sooner or later.

    Lights for days! Sasquachified!
This and, if you're really bummed about it, try Turtle wax. It won't be perfect, but its something.

No offroading here, and I know it happens but it still sucks.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Either this or Dr Colorchip.

A polish or wax isn't going to do much with what your picture shows. Those types of products only work when you have fairly light scratches in the clear. The scratch you have appears to be through the clear coat and color, and into the primer. The Dr. Colorchip system works fairly well based on personal experience, but will not totally hide that type of scratch. The only way to totally correct that bad boy is going to a Body Shop and getting it re-painted.

Just out of curiosity, if you know that the damage was caused by your lawn care company, have you talked to them about making good on the damage?

Yeah going to the body shop for that small damage seems a bit excessive. Some touch-up paint will suffice I feel.

Also, it wasn't my lawn care company. I live in a detached condo/community, and we are responsible for our own lawns. It was my neighbor's lawn care service which probably did the damage (as I heard them working in the morning). However, I can't prove that it was on them 100% so I guess my hands are tied.
